  1. She's nuttier than squirrel shit
  2. I got one months ago in the very end of my finger just under the nail that caused pins and needles in my hand and pain in my arm pit like i'd been punched there. Normally thorns don't bother me and I get quite a few when i'm pruning the crataegus types (prunifolias are a touch bigger) but I could tell this one was special so I went to a&e where they anaesthetised my finger with a few jabs, cut the end open digging with a scalpel and crunched it a few times with forceps which was worse than any thorn  . The student doctor who saw me first was shocked that i'd had a bash and got it o
  3. Scared looks and sounds about right To anyone who isn't nit picking it looks like he's holding it with his hands clear to show the length of it. Scruffing is reccomended if your trying to do anything to their teeth or anything else you don't want them to wriggle for, I don't personally do it but i definitely aint gonna start an argument over it
  4. He might not leave her alone when she's been mated, also the jill might get stressed with him when she drops her kits and one of the parents could hurt/eat the kits. Always better off with two cages imo.
  5. My jill off you is hyper as feck and can kill a rabbit easy as pie when she wants to, most of the time though she eats their eyes then lets them out
  6. try a little weasal crack (AKA Ferretone) on her belly while you put on the collar... olive oil is suppose to do the trick as well...its how we get our three to sit still for nail trimming, ear cleaning or putting on a harness ... Do you find they get their harnesses dirty at work or perhaps do they ever chip their nail varnish? Get the collar so its end is already through the buckle then slip it over the ferrets head and fasten up accordingly whilst holding the stinker firmly. Most stop fecking about when they know their getting it put on so they can go out HUNTING.
  7. Not sure mate just did, theres not as many of them anyway so there easy to control with the gun, just squeak them in and pop.
  8. Set mine the other day and caught a Jay, left it in for 2 days to see if it would catch any more or possibly a magpie that might try to chase it off its food (like hyenas do with cheetah) but bugger all so I let it go and re set the trap for a maggie. Fingers crossed
  9. I've shot a rabbit with a broken snare on it and my old bosses cat came home wearing one once.
  10. I keep getting 12's might have better luck tomorrow.
  11. There is thousands of hatching eggs on ebay mate, pretty much anything you can think of but pheasant and partridge wont be available yet, april time they will. Lots of different types of pheasants on there too. I hatched some Shamo out off there last year.
  12. I got some off ebay too and they are shite, the ends can be moved wherever you want and they stay there, no twanging back into position.
  13. The vasectomised hob will still have all his urges including the fighting one so the castrated hob would be in for a rough (and dry) time of things, the V hob might be alright with the jills after he's mated them and leave them alone but then again he might not. I've also heard of castrated hobs knocking jills out of season too. Did your vet compensate you? Its happened to a few others, i'd be kicking off personally
  14. My first task as an underkeeper was bagging up decades of shite from a roadside wood, full bottles of wine, nodders, wank mags, mcdonalds wrappers, kids school books, purses you name it it was there, bin bags full of the shit so now it really makes my piss boil. Fly tippers never seem to hang around when they see you coming but i'll catch some fecker one day and make them pick up all their tyres and gas bottles etc and more and f**k off home with it. Where do all the single shoes come from though? And do you girls not notice you've left your bra or purse or one high heel when you've been ge
  15. This little fellers balls are out and ready for action
  16. What time was it when he died?.................... well apparently the big hand was on 12 and the little hand was clutching his chest Police investigating his death found a glove by his body, they believe it could have had a little hand in it
  17. I'm after a pair of Goldies or just a cock if anyone has one spare in the north west, i'm not after paying silly shop prices and only want bog standard as they aren't for showing or owt. PM me if you have/know any Cheers, gnipper
  18. I reckon Horn Beam (Carpinus betulus) would be a good tree if you can find straight sticks coz its fecking hard, Tilias are all a bit soft, Aesculus (conker trees) are all a bit snappable too, Salix would probably be a bit too bendy, Fraxinus would be ok seasoned I reckon. Privet i've found to be good and you can near enough always find a straight stem if you root in the middle of a hedge. I know a bit about trees and what snaps and what doesn't, we have to tie the branches in to fit them on a wagon and its a pisser when you snap a main branch and have to dig another.
  19. Hazel ( Coryllus avellana ) is rare as rocking horse shit round here so I planted a fair few in a few different places, you can buy the whips for about 30p or less, grow your own and some extra for the wildlife
  20. Looks like you could do with someone to help you carry there mate

  22. Good going mate, I took my two tiddlers out today and had 6 rabbits and 1 we couldn't dig to that my ittle hob killed. What size are your tiddlers? My jill is on the smallest hole on a mk3 collar and could probably do with another one making.
  23. Aye and every keeper i've ever met has done a bit too
