  1. I wouldn't be so worried about a territorial wild polecat being on his tod Dawn, he was probably just missing the vast area he'd cover in the wild as his home territory.
  2. Stick a pic up and i'll keep my eyes peeled round here. Not too far away.
  3. Probably mate, my whippet does. Bit annoying though when the running dog is in the bramble and the quarry is off with a terrier up its arse
  4. Come on lads, we know you've got a good sense of humour so give em some come backs A scouse lad on another forum come out with one that tickled me 'if I wanted to listen to an arsehole i'd fart!'
  5. Might go, gets my pup a bit of socialising if nowt else.
  6. Well done on catching a maggie but how come you didn't make a proper one with a call bird compartment and 2 or more catching compartments? Theres plenty of plans knocking about or pictures if you search. I would call that a cage trap not a larsen but it worked and thats the main thing mate.
  7. Mine had their pup jabs and their first booster. My terrier is ten now and I think bugs are scared of catching something off him
  8. Where abouts are you John, perhaps someone could come and show you?
  9. Shellduck, rats, stoats and a cat but that doesn't count coz the ferret didn't let it bolt and by the time we broke through it was well past its sell by date
  10. It would be good for eating you out of house and home but then that would probably only be for about 8 years.
  11. Location location location
  12. I've had loads of magpies over the years in larsens but this year they don't seem to be catching, i've had my trap in two seperate places and caught one bird each place but then nothing? In the past they just seemed to steadily keep coming? Me and a mate have three traps on the go and his are the same, he caught one in one trap after he'd took the call bird out to move to another trap. Are the magpies clued up to the trap or just not feeling very territorial? Anyone else having bother with them? Cheers, gnipper
  13. Bellman and flint do make belts, they gave me a catalogue after i'd just haggled a load of cash off 2 collars at Lowther. If its as thick as the terrier couple collar I got it'll out last you
  14. I remember seeing adverts for them years ago in edrd and was always wondering what they would end up like. The border dog was at stud aswell.
  15. Nice way of saing F Off Bunny Hugger
  16. Thank feck I was right, a mate of mine who I walk out with occasionally points them out to me as fox prints and wont have it that they aren't. Everything in his eyes is a bloody cub print though Cheers, gnipper
  17. Dont dice it either, if you do a bit too small you might have kits choking on a bit of bone. The kits will be into meat probably before their eyes are open which they suckle off the bone if your feeding complete then soak it first and mush it up as they can't deal with it dry until they are about 8 weeks. Also if you have 8 or 9 you'll be surprised how quick they make a full rabbit disappear and you'll be glad to see the back of the hungry little sods, thats if you don't end up with all the hobs left. Good luck
  18. Its not a nice job cleaning out a pregnant or milky doe at the best of times but when their wriggling still it knocks me sick.
  19. Its legal to catch and keep a grass snake but illegal to sell them or harm them.

He still gets on from time to time just under a different nome de plume nowadays. I tried ringing the lanky streak today but his phones died or he's changed his number.
  21. Just get a replacement strap for the ferret collar and slide the terrier collar onto it. Its what i've done but the other way round (bought the terrier strap, bout £5). Their both the same width just different lengths.
  22. The dog has to be in an enclosed area, not sure about being witnesses etc and it probably only applies to stray dogs and I think it would be frowned upon barreling them infront of kids.
