  1. Its a longer way of doing it Whin but could you not use a bog standard working jill to one of your hobs and run the litter on and keep the best jills back for breeding to another hob from your line? The youngsters would then be 3/4 your blood and probably be as good.
  2. At the end of the day lad its their house and if they say no then thats the way it is. You can keep working on your mum till she hopefully says yes but just going out and getting one is a stupid thing to do and could end up with both of you booted out or a poor pup getting rehomed more times than it should. It took me about 11 years of asking until I got my first dog and that was only because i'd been booted out of school and started working. I told my dad i'd train him to find golf balls too which swayed his decision I reckon
  3. Dig faster and/or dig back a bit from the stop end instead of right above her.
  4. HI Bud ran a collie/grey/whippet in the early nineties over small fields and woods. For this ground it was the ideal dog.Quick off the mark and could run all day.Seem to have bag,s of energy. 7. One is a collie x and the other is a beddy x I think mate.
  8. Sounds like its been living off cabbages or something similar???
  9. Most of the time round here the holes that are full of rabbit shit don't have rabbits in they must just play in them. There will be some other holes around that don't look as promising and will be holding rabbits.
  10. Just had my little girl of 3 out with the ferrets and imo she's not ready yet. She's fine watching me skin stuff etc and happy eating it (unlike her mother and to her veggie aunties disgust ) and watched me kill a rabbit without batting an eye but the walking around and keeping quiet is a bit too much for her at the moment, her little legs were knackered before and she wanted to go home. Hopefully by 5 she'll be ok to come out more.
  11. Not all hobs are aggressive rapists, this little hob i've got here is one smooth operator
  12. Small holdings, stables etc are your best bet and from there you can get on the bigger farms.
  13. Only if you have permission to be there. Same goes for rats too.
  14. Started with my brindle dog and russel and i'll end with my brindle dog and russel, same as next few years hopefully. We've only really had half a season too with all this fecking ice and snow.
  15. There's no way that girl looked comfortable getting 'grabbed', her mate (and the camera man) was a tw@ for leaving her to it aswell. If that camera wasn't around would it have gone further? I'm sure I heard a scream/shout as they walked off
  16. I had a sandy jill that used to do that all the time, even my old terrier could catch the bolters that she let out the holes
  17. You need someone who has a smoker and a handy terrier to come and help you

  20. Mine doesn't come into the smart category, if he can't kill it or shag it he's not interested

    NOT NORMAL

When I was out in town before my daughter was born I'd drink stella till I get sick of it and then start on the vodka, 2 doubles and one can of redbull to dilute them every trip to the bar with possibly a few aftershocks in between till 4 or 5 in the morning and then wonder why I was in the bad books the next day? I call it smirnoff induced schitsophrenia
  22. Opinel do a stainless blade now and they are still sharp and hold an edge well. All different fancy wood handles on them too at not much more than a standard one. Problem being all the gun shops only sell bog standard ones and getting one off the net is a lot trickier than it used to be.
