Should of kept it , it’ll be a museum piece. If you had told me back then , that you would have a torch that would fit in your pocket and weigh literally nothing, but could throw a 800 meter beam , I doubt I’d of have believed it . Makes you think what next ? I’m waiting for heat seeking bullets , so that you never miss. I think I will give up then.

These things make life so easy . Just press how many grains - enter, set to auto repeat, it beeps when it’s done , you pour it down your funnel, put the pan back on the scale and away you go again . It even counts how many you have done . -
A clulite clubman I see !!! You guys were lucky ?. I was going to spin a yarn about motorcycle batteries and car headlamps , but we all know where that’s going ??? Ben would chip in with a story about miners lamps or ships lanterns.?

I didn’t bother to check the batch I’ve just loaded as they were .223 and it fills the cartridge right up to the base of the neck , so if there was a discrepancy, I would see it . But I use the Hornady scales to do a spot check every few rounds normally. I think it’s worth doing . But the Lyman is very consistent. -
I remember me and my mate being confronted by plod at a field gateway as we were leaving, ( lamp and rabbits , secreted in the hedge ) , “ you boys been lamping “ ? “ No “ , “ Lurcher’s , Hunter wellies , Barbour jackets, you boys have been lamping, we were watching the lamps shine across the fields “ , “f@ck me !!!! What are you ? Some sort of detectives ?️ “ , said my mate ……..It was a long night .?

I started my reloading journey a while ago . I’ve been upgrading and buying bits of kit as I gained experience . It’s not a cheap hobby , but the benefits are you can get a bit more accuracy out of your rifle and once all the kit is bought ( you will never have everything you want ) , it’s cheaper. I enjoy most parts of the reloading process, the cleaning, trimming, priming and seating, but hated the powder weighing. So I bought a Lyman gen 6 powder system, Why didn’t I get one sooner . It’s quick and accurate and I am now in reloading Nirvana. Peace out life’s good ?

I just want rid of foxes on the shoot . I employ just about every “ legal “ method , terriers, snares , fox drives , and shooting. To me the beauty of snaring is , a snare is working while I’m in bed . Also I make my own snares , and get a kick out of using a bit of field craft .

I think this week-10 days is forecast fine . I’m sure the combines will be with you soon . I know what you mean about retrieving fallow . I’ve even got a winch and two planks to get them into the mule , because there is no way I’m giving myself a hernia getting them on . ?

I try and get out three nights a week , more if there is a problem fox . I tell everyone on here about my success, but not about the many nights that I put in when I don’t see anything, or see something but no shot is on . But there are seldom nights where I don’t gather a bit of an idea what is going on during the hours of darkness. To be honest, I like that it’s quiet on the fox front . I remember the days when I used to lamp . There was always a fox about , that was lamp shy . Now you get IR shy ones , but you can deal with them by waiting for them under a full moon and use the ambient ligh

I noticed a small brood of 4 wild pheasants with the hen this morning on the stubble . They look maybe 4 weeks old , it’s hard to tell the age if you compare them to reared birds because they don’t develop as fast without the heat and high protein diet . So they may be older . It’s nice to see them but I wonder if any will make it to adulthood….. I doubt it . But fingers crossed ?

A bit of rain , and pheasants mooching on the stubble.

A perfect day ?

Fed the birds with the last of the pellets this morning. They can finish up what’s in the feeders and Minolas . I’ve been trailing wheat for them for the last couple of weeks , but as of now that’s all they are getting. And just in time really because it’s started to rain and pellets and rain don’t mix well .

The best thing to do Phil , is get him to put it on EBay. Put a low starting price and see what happens. Ultimately it’s only worth what someone is willing to pay for it . Keep your eye on it and if you think it’s going to go too low bid on it yourself and if you win it keep it .

What about this one then ??

What Scope for a .243

If you want to do some longer range shooting and dial in , with turrets . You are limited to makes like Meopta , vortex , and there are some new ones out like Element . Personally, I’ve got a Schmidt and Bender 8X56 Hungarian . As good as anything I’ve seen . Point and shoot and unsurpassed light gathering, so it’s good at dawn and dusk . You can pick a second hand one up for £250 . -
“ right then guys , we need a bit more diversity, so I’ve hired some mixed race and disabled to front the campaign “, “ and your going to have to lose the sandals and turbans, nobody is doing that this year “

I think also that the Taliban have had a top London PR firm , overhauling their image . It’s going to be “ sugar sprinkles and kisses “from these guys …… for the moment. China has told them to get in line . China is taking over the world, not through bombs and bullets , it’s more subtle and insidious .

When you here people giving some kids at the park a good hiding , the only thing they are guilty of is not having any self restraint. Because there are some f@cking horrible teenagers out there, who definitely need to be taught a good old fashioned lesson on manners . Of course it will lose you your ticket and perhaps your liberty . Maybe that’s what is wrong with society? Nowadays it’s called “ child abuse “ but in Victorian times it was just teaching your kids a bit of manners . Bring back corporal punishment!!! Does this have any relevance to this case , probably not , but I’m bored , s
