It was Master Po in Kung fu with David Caradine , the Yang Shang po was the Water margin . Did you also watch Monkey ? Looking back those programs were shit . But I think we only had 4 channels. How times have changed.

Good luck with the new mounts Si . They have started to combine the beans here, so might redeem myself soon . ?

Oh mate , you are talking to someone who got all excited when he finally managed to send an email recently. Computers are not my thing . I haven’t lost any sleep because my details are on there . If someone decides to break into my house to get my guns , they can have them . They are insured . I’m no hero .

I was advised not to download it now as it’s likely to be full of malware and viruses.

You are worse than my Mrs for remembering shit I’ve said and bringing it back to beat me with those words . Ben “sensei shovel “ has pondered on this and has changed his mind . Here endeth the lesson namasday , grasshopper.?

The IR will give you away , and if you miss , believe me , foxes learn quickly. Put that with the sound of the ATV . I’ve got my work cut out now . I might get it with a sit out under the moon ( no need for IR) . But this fox is a good 1/2 mile from the pheasant pens , so not the end of the world.

When I recall both shots and analyse what went wrong, I know what I did . I rushed the shots , I didn’t have the rifle in my shoulder properly and I wasn’t in a comfortable position. The basics . I was also really tired . I’m up at 5.0am feeding, then I’ve been out for three nights straight. 4 or 5 hours sleep a night . I was dead on my feet . I had an early night last night and a kip in the afternoon . I feel human again.

I wasn’t going to share this , but in the spirit of “ keeping it real” , here goes. I was out doing my usual drive and spot with thermal . I had Adam spotting . We went around a hedge corner and he tapped my arm and whispered “ to the left , straighten up , stop “. “ I think it’s a roe led down, what do you think “. He handed me the thermal and before I’d had much chance to decide it got up and was a fox . It slipped through the hedge , so we drove around and spotted it the other side , but it went back through. We scooted around to where be first spotted it and it was running to th

Good shooting Derv , and a good afternoon to be out . That’s another one “they” can’t take off you . -
I asked the supplier yesterday and was told £200 , I looked at the farmers weekly And it’s about £192 . It changes with world supply, I think the harvest in Canada and Australia might bring it down a fraction.

Never mind Stavross, I guarantee they will all show up nice and early on shoot days .? Anyway, I don’t want to depress you any further but we are paying £200 per tonne for feed wheat . ?

I would have thought that the target shooters who are shooting at extreme range in competition’s ( the big boys) go down the custom barrel , custom stock route . I wouldn’t have thought they use a Mauser or Tikka or any of the more budget rifles , they all probably load their own ammunition too . It’s a completely different ball game . A good ball game , if that’s your thing , but a very different type of shooting to what most of the contributors to this thread are accustomed to .

It’s funny you say that because I know a few farmers and country people who have been just like that . I have a theory and it applies to my own personal feelings. If you are used to animals being raised, living their lives, going to slaughter. Or if you are close to nature and seeing life perhaps from a practical level , in that we are just animals and we live and we die , forget all the God crap and having spirits , then you might well be inclined to do the same . I have thought about what I’d do . I wouldn’t use a shotgun because I wouldn’t wish anyone to have to clear the mess up . But I do

When I was younger I had food poisoning. Christ I was ill . The whole experience changed my view on death , as I remember thinking to myself , “ if I’m going to die , let’s hurry up and get it over with , I can’t stand much more of this “. Since then my view is that if I was really ill and in discomfort , death is almost welcome and not to be feared . I might be wrong but pain management for cancer is for most patients good , And in the final stages of life the patient is effectively put out of their misery by morphine. What is contentious is people with Parkinson’s or

I think we all have the right to dignity. Personally if I get to the stage where I can’t wipe my own arse and I’m not going to get better and need total care , I’d want out .

I don’t know anything about computers or the terminology. When I spoke to the police they said that the anti hunting site was hosted or was based in Iceland and they were working on getting it taken down . I’d like to think that the people responsible for this will be punished in some way . But the reality is that nothing will happen to them . And they will be laughing into there “soy latte’s “.
-
-
In all seriousness, you would have thought that would be the case , but apparently it’s not as easy as all that . We don’t have the power to make companies in Iceland do anything. The police are making every effort , so they say . I’m sure it will be dealt with …. eventually.
-
Just an update. I spoke to a member of the police cyber investigation team ?️yesterday. The files are still available to be seen . They told me that the anti hunting website has its server in Iceland and they don’t have the authority to just shut it down . They are however very aware of the problem and are making every effort to deal with it . I’ve told my Mrs not to shop in Iceland anymore……. We’re going to shop at Farm food's from now on .

Good to see you keepering on top of the vermin ?

You are asking for advice . I am not someone who shoots at paper targets. I don’t have any experience of Mauser rifles . But I do own 3 Tikka rifles . I might be wrong but I believe the Mauser barrels are made in the same factory as Blaser , and Sauer , so they should be good . You could also look at the Sauer keeper package. I think that it could be a contender. I personally like Tikka rifles, I like the way the bolt is smooth and cycles effortlessly. They shoot fantastic groups . There is also a lot of aftermarket things like different stocks that you can change if you wish

I turned up at the chicken farm last night, my heart full of optimism and a pocket full of bullets . Rifle out of the truck , thermal out . Then all of a sudden the heavens opened , the kind of rain that got Noah thinking about building a big boat . Oh well , there’s always another night .?

I was out with my Mrs at a garden centre and saw these , what appeared to be women pushing a trolley towards us . On second glance it was obvious that it was two blokes in dresses. They looked hideous, and everyone was looking at them . They seemed to be almost enjoying the attention they were getting. If some bloke wants to wear a dress at home fair enough, it takes all sorts. But all these cross dressing transgender types that I’ve encountered, all seem to want to be noticed, they wear flamboyant clothes , and seem to revel in the attention. But what I see is a sad bloke in

I tend to see very little. The sound of my mule I think has foxes running for cover . It’s surprising what you see if you are just sat up , or walking. Horse riders dog walkers are good sources of information. God bless um ?

I’ve had a fox around one of the pens . It would just feed itself and not cause too much chaos the odd puff of feathers here and there, was all that gave it away . However I bumped into one of the local dog walkers who is always out early before he goes to work and he confirmed my suspicions by saying he saw a fox taking a poult on the path in front of him in the morning. I didn’t want to shoot too close to the pen as I didn’t want to disturb the birds roosting. So I set my caller up on the stubble about 100 meters from where the fox was seen taking the bird . Icotec pheasant distr
