  1. I know, some of the stuff they come out with.....? the mind boggles.......
  2. It’s handy being able to adjust the power to get your best results. Many guns you don’t have that luxury. It’s a useful feature on an fac air rifle. I’ve read that .177’s can be difficult at fac levels. Not so with the air arms extra?. Good shooting fella.
  3. I’ve had many an airgun pellet sound like it’s fiercely ricocheted away off a branch in the tree tops, only to then hear it drop on the ground a few yards away.
  4. Well, here I am, in the woods with my new HW tac, hoping to bag a few squirrels ?. It’s even got grippy hands, I mean stock? So much better than shooting with those old spring powered behemoths....?
  5. At a glance, it reminds me of a modern version of the old ASI Paratrooper. Looks like the pistol grip is straight from the hw44? Interesting......?
  6. He’s sold it now, realised it was crap after all ?
  7. That’s a beautiful creation and no mistake Mark? They’ll be queuing up to use it in no time ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
  8. Good result plugster. Is that .177 fac? If so, what power level do you find gives good accuracy and do you need to use heavy pellets in .177 at higher power?
  9. I know you have both. Why would the impact be better vm?
  10. I was thinking that something like a twenty grain .25 pellet at around 35/36 ft lbs might be a good set up? I don’t think I’d have much need for an air rifle much more powerful than that, as it would start to get near to reduced load rimfire ammo, like z Lang’s for example. I’d be interested to have a bit of a play with something like an fx crown in .25 though, to see how different weight .25’s perform at different power levels. May be on my shopping list?.
  11. Them there fingers’ll come into their own for other tasks though I’m sure fella?. Nice rifles fella?I always wanted a sport back in the day, shot plenty, never owned one...nearly bought one once. That was the last new one I ever saw for sale in a shop.
  12. It didn’t seem to have much feel or movement, I didn’t seem to know when it was going to break. He’s adjusted it since then, but I haven’t shot it since so don’t know what it’s like now. The t-bolt I shot was very accurate though, so the trigger didn’t cause me any problems in that respect. The model I was shooting was the stainless varmint model. The one with the grey laminate stock. As you say Gav, the triggers are a nice shiney gold colour?,a nice shape, and I do like how they sit right at the back in the trigger guard. Overall, nice rifles in my opinion ?
  13. I like the t-bolts, and their magazines I really like. Not so sure about the trigger though.
  14. Good shooting plugster. What’s the rifle in the picture, is fac or 12ft lb fella?
  15. Good shooting plugster, well done fella. That’s a fine bag with an air rifle by any standards. Three jays included, top man?
  16. Many years ago, a friend of mine was zeroing at fifty yards with Winchester subs. The bullets passed through the target and skimmed along the short wet grass behind before bouncing up to around a couple of feet above the ground, where they slammed sideways into an 8’x 4’x 3/4” plywood sheet a further fifty yards away. The bullets embedded into the ply by around half their sideways depth and could be picked out with a pen knife. It seemed that after skimming along the grass and toppling through the air for fifty yards after passing through a paper target, they’d already lost most of their energ
