  1. Young bitches, getting some length, suits you sir.
  2. Mute yes, just wait for the cover to erupt My bitch only yips when in close proximity, which suits me. Lurchers know where to be.
  3. Been using cold water for the last 12 years. Needless to say I've had a beard for the last 12 winters.
  4. I'd give one a go. Got a Lakeland Springer first cross here and it's turned out very useful. I would like to find such a cross or similar to put to her.
  5. Why not? If you get them broken to ferrets. Only problem is the lack of coat, shivering dogs on a cold day winds me up .
  6. Do a lot of it and your dogs will bark. A good way to wind your dogs up. My friend had a Border that would whine at the sight of the catapult, when it saw a Squirrel it would freak. Proper drawing attention to him and what he was doing. I have a dog that will climb trees to get at them and it has fallen out a couple of times .
  7. With mates like that who needs enemy's? Would of been fun around here .
  8. My Bull x retrieves from water and will bite someone if needed, which can be very useful in the right situation. She will also help round up sheep, which saves me a lot of leg work. As a Lurcher, she is defo an all rounder and at seven years old she is looking for a replacement. An all rounder to me is a dog that does every thing you need it to.
  9. Get some large toothed hacksaw blades, 10 tpi or there abouts. Or a tenon saw.

Get well mate, I wish to tell you how much better my Mali is compared with those spacky GSD. Here's thinking of you.
  11. Add some thing to make it more easily absorbed like already said, derv, creasote, white spirit etc.
  12. They also try and educate idiots in how to look after their dogs. Seems like a worth while job in my eyes, mostly women as well. They have less conflict than blokes.
  13. I used to have an Angora buck as a kid, a real spiteful fecker. It used to chase and terrify my Aunts Poodle. I thought it was hilarious and would let the rabbit out and shut the back door and watch it for a few minuites
  14. he was nearly 5 1/2 when it happend Then I see no problem breeding from this dog. Good luck with your pups.
  15. I think at the age of seven you will need to keep her on top of her game to help avoid stiffness. Suppliments are good but I think there are no substitude for a good mixed well ballanced diet (plenty of fish if you can get it). I have a seven year old bitch here that's a bit battered, she's out every day chasing/catching gear and if she has a real good session lamping or what ever she will be stiff. I'm affraid it's the age .
  16. I think you'll find the man put "by Paul Dawson (1976)"
  17. Guts out, got to be. I can't believe the amount of game I see in peoples back yards that still have there guts in. How you getting on with the knife sharpening Jigsaw?
