  1. You should all train your dogs a bit better........ no seriously it's a proper worry. It's much worse with dogs I find, that's one of the reasons I like mainly bitches. My bitches hunt at different ranges, which suits me fine. If my Bull x goes out of sight on a rabbit, she will either catch it or it will go to ground and she will return. If she goes missing for a good while I have to stay put and call. She will return when what ever she is doing is done. She so far at the ripe old age of 4 1/2 never hunted on for ages, so I guess I am lucky or an expert dog man . Now I recently acquired

  3. Looking good, I look forward to your updates. Do you hammer manually or mechanically and what steel are they?
  4. My advice would be, find some good homes for the pups. Everything else you've said seems ok.
  5. Hairy fannies and dunkies
  6. He looked pinned to me. I think he must have been to make that vid.
  7. It is a tape worm cyst, but it'll take more than a few days to kill it. A couple of weeks to be sure, tape worm are resilient to hard frosts.
  8. Shame you never asked me to come, I can run a lot faster than you.http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/239632-paid-ferreting-m25/page__fromsearch__1
  9. And then once the dog is " contained "......they shoot it dead !! Well, what else could they do? once it's contained? noose-on-a stick it and into the van,not rocket science. then give it back to it's owner,or if he's in for a long wait leave it with whoever he says. Sorry mate that was my attempt at sarcasm
  10. Not bad news, sounds like a great dog. It would certainly be given a good home here, it sounded like a hero! Don't know what the man done, he could of possibly been a complete b*****d but his dog was loyal and that's what dogs are mean't to be . RIP the "Pit Bull type dog."

  12. Thirst? Only kidding, could be a kidney problem. Although some dogs just drink a lot has it only just started?
  13. Come on Hattie don't be sad. Have a cup of tea and a piece of chocolate.
  14. It's nerves because it's head is on a plate.
  15. That wasn't smartness, it were the truth. If your lucky enough to get that amount of game and your dogs not catching them as you want at the age of three, then you have the wrong dog mate. Anyway 300 rabbits is good haul, well done for that. And if my dog took 1-2 minutes to catch a rabbit, my tally would be about 0.
  16. Yes, there are some people who are totally devoted to Beardie lurchers and wouldn't have anything else. There are some good hard working lines out there, and they're not just rabbit dogs. they're just not the sort of people who come on forums. Though there is a good little forum: Collie Curs. I don't know if it is now a closed forum or not, but its certainly not open to every idiot with a lurcher That counts me out then . I actually meant working collies not lurchers, for shepherding and the like.
  17. Does anyone actually work Beardies any more? All the working collies I know, which is not a great deal, are Borders.
  18. Caught 300 or so rabbits this year and your worried about him picking up. What do you want him to pick them up with his fecking paws
  19. Thank's for the offer but I'm a bit far and I don't give the two I've got enough work
  20. It's not one of yours escaped? only playing.
