  1. It all depends on how much time youve got on youre hands, I thoroughly enjoy terrierwork as well as lurchers. But the lurchers are a better fit for me personally simply because you can call the shots more easily out on the lamp you dont have to be out all night if youve got to get up early for work etc. But if you go out with the terriers it can be 10 minutes or 10 hours. Ultimately you feed em and pick up the shit so its youre choice.
  2. You should have asked his dog really because its him who will be suffering the pain and discomfort. Why do you think they dont want you in the army with flat feet? If a man can get out of going to war because of them it must be serious. To be fair you can get binned from selection for athletes foot.....
  3. Didn't catch his name he had a Stoke accent but the incident they were on about (cat getting killed accidentally by two lurchers) was near Cannock I think. The woman had some cameras set up looking onto a field behind her house and apparently saw her moggy copping for it.
  4. Judged one last summer which was wheaten bull grey that had completely splayed flat feet. I asked the bloke if it had bad problems with its feet he said it was totally fine other than that it was a very well put together animal built for its job, but as I said very poor looking feet.
  5. Haven't got any pics pal, quite rare to see them even at game fayres etc. The lads have em made to size by some old chap.
  6. Along with every other 'wildlife crime fighter' in between knocking one out over xhamster and eating there body weight in Mcdonalds while on 'patrol'.
  7. Good arent they, gona give my bigger bitch a go using one come start of the season. Ive always thought the risk is minimal.......but il be red faced if either of mine write themselves off due to a collar snag when im out thats for sure :/
  8. To be fair my mate preaches about not running dogs with collars on he reckons its a danger to the dog around hedges etc.....few of my pals use what they call gypsy slips which the collar releases when you let go of the choker leather. I still use a collar and slip though.
  9. Haha no even the bbc wouldn't have that bellend on
  10. Well it was mercifully short, according to the woman its illegal to hunt with dogs. Also very nice to hear from one of Staffordshires finest wildlife crime "experts".
  11. Alright lads, just heard 5 live are just about to do a piece on lamping........im sure it's going to be very one sided!
  12. Have you considered a Nissan xtrail?, theyve got a very good size boot and from the road tests ive seen theyre better off road than all the other 'soft roaders'.
  13. Ive got 2 terrier collars and 2 lurcher collars from black dog trading and I think theyre decent.
  14. Great pics pal, what a place.
  15. I know of coal, he produced some handy lurchers.
  16. My mates got 12 dogs in training with a couple of trainers all of em bought in from Ireland I believe, its a hard game and you can throw serious money at it and still come up with f**k all.
  17. Id be surprised if anyone is running one, mainly because how many standard poodles are being used for work in the UK?.....at the end of the day the bulldog was originally bred for baiting but all of them kc things now are ruined to the point they can barely walk let alone mix it.
  18. Hes not a member on here mate, and sadly not got his number anymore because some nice smack rat pinched my phone out of my work van a couple of weeks after I had her......shes nearly 2 now. .
  19. Got a bitch here with that breeding on both sides, the lad in Yorkshire who bred her mentioned this to me.
  20. . Same here what Eva happened ta single types a suppose like those that keep em rocking horse shit.having if one runs with others there be numbers made up if this rocks Ya boat If you know of an animal that can bush, course, lamp, and stays till dug to let me use it on one my bitches
  21. In an ideal world which didn't involve work.......(nice thought) id have: A racey collie bull grey/or saluki bull grey for general daytime and lamping etc. A line bred strong 1/2x bull grey.(dog) A couple of black digging terriers. And somthing for bushing/hedgerow hunting/general mooching. Maybe beddy whip x terrier/or collie. Sadly I doubt il ever be able to do justice to that many mutts but its a nice thought all the same. Atb.
