    I had a long chat to an old fella at a game fair couple of years ago who had a little stall with sealyham types and the odd short legged russell. He seemed nice enough but he started the sales pitch after a while then said he wanted £900 for a pup!!

    All in all im leaning towards the l200 mainly because there wont be a problem with getting parts for it if it goes wrong.

    I suppose it's the same as lurchers really. Under 23" category for example. You can get all shapes and sizes. 3/4 bull to 3/4 whippet and everything in between. Rough. Smooth. Long. Short. Fat. Thin. Judge just picks one he likes the look and feel of as far as I know? think lurchers have more ideals than a busher after all no matter the type x they are designed to run are they not, take my bushers up cumbria be waste time although they are probably leggy enough to cover some ground they not going to follow on scent for miles like some them lads require yet down here tight cover they spot

    Conflicting reports coming out of Turkey this morning, I grew up with a Turkish lad and he now lives back in Istanbul. I for one hope the military do take control and set Turkey back on a secular democratic path, the current route they are taking goes totally against Mustapha Kamal Ataturks vision of the future of the country. Islamist ideology is taking the world backwards,and the sooner its utterly destroyed the better........1500 years of murder rape and conquest all in the name of a psychopathic paedophile the 'prophet Muhammad ( may he rest in shit).

    Cheers Rabid, will have to check what the best mpg truck is in my price bracket......cant see my budget getting anything much newer than 2008-maybe 09. My mate rang me the other day saying the l200 trojans arent the worst on fuel and he goes from stoke to wrexham most days in his. For me reliability/toughness is most important because ive just bought a house in the sticks so it needs to start every morning or my ladys gona be struggling.

    Ive not as yet driven a Ranger, I read theyre not bad on parts etc. Ive driven quite a few 4x4 l200, hilux , defender,discovery, and landcruiser. But never owned one just thought id ask for opinions on which is the better option.

    Ive wasted countless hours over the past months scouring the web reading reviews of every possible option for a motor for my pack of mutts, and for my mrs to and from work etc(75 mile per week) . Ive come to the conclusion that short of having 2 motors which I am not prepared to do......its going to have to be a pick up, my question is which one ive got up to £6.500 to spend which rules out the hi lux I think (which is what most of my mates run).
