  4. 12 week old and 16 tts! My pups 7months old and the same height! Lol
  5. Took the pup out for a walk this evening along with my fert, (mainly to see how the new moxy box felt lol)on the new bit of permision just to have a look, saw a few rabbits in tight to the hedge row and just my luck all the obvious holes for sets are on the other side of the fence! So just need to find out who owns those fields and try and gain permision on there. The permision is 28 acres set over two fields so walked the 1st field no joy, got into the next field and saw two rabbits half way up so decided to make my self seen and see where they run to.... One bolted straight towards the hedge
  6. Thanks chris, just let me no matey and ill be down! Atb
  7. I would put this in the buy/sale section but my phone isn't alowing me to for some reason so ill put it here instead. Here goes....I've been handling my ferret everyday and she's coming along nicely, no biting and its great but I feel now she is getting rather bored on her own so I want to get her a companion, preferably a younger kit but if not that's ok. So my question is has anyone got one for me ...I've rang the bloke I got my ferret of and he said all the kits he has are now spoken for, also I've looked on the trad-it and to be honest people are selling theem for ridiculous prices! So I a
  8. The bloke I mentioned earlier from the wiltshire game fair also held this dark polecat type up and told me to feel around its back ar, and I must say the muscle and strnght you could feel on it compaired to your average joe's ferret was a hell of a lot different, but saying that I still think a ferret is a ferret no matter what colour shape or form its is and if it works its a bonus
  9. I like the sound of beddy greys aswell, alto I've got a beddy whip 1st cross. Me and the misses was discussing either a new pup or waiting untill my pups got a few years graft behind her then maybe put a nice beddy grey over her to keep a pup or 2 for our selfs
  10. On the trade-it there's also eu polecats being advertised for 15 quid but to me can't be anything other than normal domesticated ferret with polecat blood somewhere in ther breeding
  11. I havnt been around south devon to much but what I have seen there isn't really much difference although in some places by me we have some very large fields but mostly small...and more than often if I'm just driving around I notice a lot more hares in smaller fields than when I have been walking larger ones. A lot of my mates have saluki whip greys or whip greys.
  12. There was a chap at the wiltshire game fair who I spoke to with a loads of ferrets and polecat types on show there, and he pointed out these two very dark coloured polecat types and said exactly the same that they we're timid, very wary, hopless for work as they just stay just in the hole out of reach and when he put his hand in to pick the hob up he was very cautios as he said its an absolute fecker for biting! But once he had got it out eventialy it just hung there silent and without any movement unlike the other ferrets and domestic polecats he had there so maybe there is a difference?
  13. Bloke I'm working with said he used to keep salukis 20 years ago and they ran well around theses parts which are smaller fields and some paddocks. I know salukis are deemed as plodders but do you think that if the dog is brought up in a specific area is is used to that area they would fair quite good?
  14. Thanks, look forward to it!
  15. WHere abouts are you mate, it might help with the sale of your ferts...good luck and atb
