  1. Well that's what I thought, a ferret is a ferret but the old boy was so adamant that it was a greyhoud ferret. I just said thanks whent home just under the impresion that I had a nice albino jill ferret lol
  2. Got gifted a ferret last night, and the old boy is and was saying he's kept and bred ferret most of his life...anyhow he gave me a kit from the begining of this year stock ready to stary to work now but he said she was a greyhound ferret :s I've looked on the search bar and couldn't find anything. She looks just like a normal albino ferret to me only difference with her and the one I alrady have is she's a lot leaner and a slightly different shaped head also stands with a really arched back! Can someone shed some light on if the old boys just talking utter tosh or is this an actual specific '

  6. People seem to presume the ferrets arnt for me but like I have said yet again....if the ferret bites me then fine I can deal with it but as my daughter really wants one I can't take the risk of this one biting her and also like I've said I will props just end up keeping this one also and work on her so that my daughter can still handle the new ones!
  7. I might end up just keeping my one anyway as well as the new ones if I do get them that is.......like I've said biting me isn't so much the issue its the fact I would like for my daughter to handle them aswell but can't do that with a biter
  8. What you need to understand is that the biting me isn't so much the problem but like I said my daughter needs to be able to handle them and if a ferret latched onto her then its game over...I'm not exactly talking about slinging the ferret down a hole and leaving it as she will go back to the place where I got her from as was welcombe by the bloke who sold her if they're be any problems...
  9. Its people like you that make me laugh! Got a comment for everything and just because you don't like the sound of something feel the need to slate someone and give it the big un over the internet...yeas I've made it clear that it will be worked but its more so a pet for my daughter as she took a massive interest in them! But I don't want to take the risk of a 7 month old ferret that I was told was tame when clearly it isn't latching on to my daughter as it has done to me several times! Keep your oppinions to yourself or if you've got that much of a problem pm me intstead of trying to make your
  10. Not being funny mate but why do you need feel the need to comment? The glove thing was a joke on the other thread to to raise a laugh. But on a serious note she has been handled every day but still feels the need to try and bite my hand off! Not that I need to justify myself to you but surley you've got your own problems....plus I would be doing the bloke a favour re homing them!
  11. Where abouts in somerset mate? Mines a c*nt for biting so she's going back to the shop as my daughter really wants to handle her but can't! Pm me if you prefer cheers

  14. The people who own the caravan site is more than happy for me to ferret there once the site is closed for winter as the rabbits run and burrow on there land also so its doing them a favour but I nedd to talk to the ranger and have a chat with him. Don't want to be greedy and take massive numbers just the odd few every couple of months that we're down there and like I said the place is heaving big time so if I get the permision it maybe a chance to invite a few other lads and get to no a few people atb lads
  15. There's two cottages right at the bottom end which are used as holiday homes and that's it! Think I will ask when I go back down in 3weeks time.
  16. Just wondering if anybody ever gets permision to ferret or even other methods of hunting/pest contol on national trust land? I ask because I a trip to the inlaws caravan a few weeks back which is surounded by fields owned by the national trust and they are absolutly heaving with rabbits! I was tempted to ask a ranger that was patrolling about maybe doing some ferreting some time over the winter once the site is closed for the season but was in a rush so passed on the oppotunity which led me to ask on here what people thought? Atb
  17. I've just moved my ferret this evening from a rabbit hutch to my old chicken apen with a large run and she's a different character already! The bigger the cage the better!
