True! Cover was bad in some places but the rest was ok there just don't seem to be many rabbits about...I just need to travel further I think!

Just wondered if there's anyone close to bristol or within an hours or so drive that would consider letting me my 6month pup and my ferret join them on a days ferreting? Or if you'd prefer me not to bring the dog that's cool. I have permision but am just not having much luck at the moment and just want a bit of graft for me and the fert! I have a few nets and would buy the breakfasts in return and a pint afterward lol. I would also invite in return to my permision but like I've said dosn't hold much so I can't promise large bags if anything tho! Will appreciate any offers. Cheers liam

Well I've just got home after my morning out and dint bag anything, enjoyed just being out tho and gained another 28 acres of permision. Wether it will hold anything I don't no but andrew the farmer seems to think I will have some fun up there next weekend (with a bit of luck) definatly getting bored already with not getting much tho! 1 rabbit in 3 weeks is a bit of a joke really, there just don't seem to be anything about! Never mind I supose there's always next weekend to try again. I had no trouble with the gill either today, she was straight in the sets no problem so happy with that! Thank

I'm out now just tried 2 sets but nothing yet! Its quite hard work on my own because the cover is still thick in some places and me the ferret and dog being inexperienced!but at least I'm getting out here and having ago! Sam4530s-ferrets ok now still nips a bit but nothing compaired to what it was 1st like! Well I'm off to the next bit of permision now see what I can get if all fails I've the the air rifle in the car so shoot some pigeons lol atb lads

I'm sure I will its just nice to get out! Me my bed/whip and the ferret, my work mate can find his own way of going out ferreting in the future from now on! My misses even just offered to come out with me but think ill leave her at home after all I'm gonna need some grub when I get out from my outing lol

Absolutly winds me up at the fact for the last week and a half you have arranged to go out ferreting with a mate, sorted the permision out and planned where were going 1st ect. Spends my evening preparing kit getting ready so I can pick my mate and his 2 gills up ready for an early start then at 11:40pm I get a txt saying "I'm out on the piss won't be around 2morrow, see you in work monday."...what a joker! Can't rely on anyone latly!...rant over! Any way...I'm gonna go on my own but the only problem is my moxy bowback box havnt arrived yet (bloody royal mail!) So if people are without a b

Well I've been handling my gill for a few days now and she's improving massivly! She only nips a little bit now but when she gets a bit frisky a little lemon juice down her gob sorts her out! Glad I dint give up and I'm out 2 morrow with a mate and his 2 gills so will see if she's up to the graft. Cheers for all the advise lads atb

Does anyone use catapaults? I bought a nice little on of my mate and I just need to re drill the holes as I can't get the elastic to double up through the holes! Do people have much success with these?

I'm not scared of her and I can pick her up it just that she will turn and clamp onto my hand or usually when I put the food into the cage she will bite me. I can handle her for roughly 30 seconds then she goes absolutly wild! Lol

I'm out with a mate this weekend so will give her a try and see what she's like after a days work but failing that you would be welcomb to her ferret mad dave I'm in bristol so will see how it goes this weekend and go from there! Atb
