  1. if your talking about mine then thanks it took quite a few attempts to get a half decent pik with this crappy phone lol. And have you got the photobucket app? Usually if you just try and upload piks straight from phone or pc it usualy says that the pik is to large, but through photobucket it scales the pik down and you just copy and paste the image code. Atb
  2. cool pick mate, nice looking dog also, how's it bred?
  3. I started my pup of by placing a small bit of board set at the same hight as the dog by the back door and step over and encourages her to jump over it as she did I said "up" and gave her a treat once she come over after a few weeks of this this I increased the height slightly, she's only a small dog but she now clears the stairgate I have going from living room to kitchen no problem I don't think she could jump much higher and I won't attempt to try her on anything higher, personaly I don't like a dog to jump but each to there own but the small height she can just helps with getting over small
  4. thanks for that, and like I've said I understand where people are coming from but like also I'm not a big fan of guns I prefer ferreting but its hard to explain and get my point across over a forum but really I hardly ever pick the gun up so learning all this stuff really isn't important ( I know it sounds bad bit its the truth). So if my guns sighted uP already and I see a rat in my garden I will take a shot no ifs or buts about it, I don't take a gun onto permision as its not my cup of tea and the point of this thread was purly to find out a quick way to sight my gun up so I can shoot some t
  5. nice little dog you have there also bud
  6. not reli bud she's still cautious when near hedges lol she will go in if there's a rabbit in there but she's slow to move through them
  7. cheers bud, i try my best lol
  8. haha im at the inlaws atm and my pups playing with there two whippets, steaming around the room!
  9. Really love the look of your dog, where did you get her ? I'm seriously considering one myself when due to age I lose one of mine. got her in wales bud, near pontypool her sire was a the whippet. theres always beddy whippets for sale in the CMW. cheers for the comments atb
  10. just thought i would give an update of picks of my pup. 1st x bedlington whippet now 8 months old just measured her at 17.5 tts, she coming on ok having a few little hicups atm but should come good, shes mainly for ferreting but will try on the lamp towards the end of the season. thanks for looking.
  11. that's one thing that made me think that by the looks of the hole at the top of the field, it looked very suspect altho I could be wrong I will take a walk up there tomorrow morning and take some piks and put them on 2morrow afternoon.
  12. Well I just gave my pup her 1st portion of green trip and she made it f+ck back! It wasn't a lot but she looks rather bloated now lol, and christ I opened up the rapper and all I could smell was cow shite! I've split a 1lb block into 5 smaller portions and at 1.50 for a lb I supose over a course of 5 days isn't that bad actually, she's only a small dog so that with mixer is plenty.
  13. I no where everyone is coming from and I appreciate any advise or concerns, but everyone was young once and don't get me wrong I'm sensible about it I don't just go out shooting willy nilly, I've just set up targets in the back garden ( I live in the countryside and back garden leads onto fields so nothing to worry about in the respects of loose pellets hitting anything) and have had a go at sighting and it was easier than I thought...I tried the 2p method on a4 and withing 8 shots had it pretty bang on, so for the sort of shooting I'm doing atm which is targets and the odd woody or feral and
  14. Also I have a mate coming over tomorrow to show me the basics with sighting up and changes for winddirection ect so we can go out on his permision and do some shooting soon atb
  15. I'm not that mad on guns tbh so learning to sight up didn't rely bother me as its usualy done for me, as for shooting live quarry being a privalige imo that's utter crap lol I only got the gun for shooting the rats that's around my chicken coupe and the odd pigeon so its not like I'm out shooting on permision or anything all the time, if that was the case then I would make sure I was up to scratch with it all. Cheers for the reply atb
  16. by your online name I take it you live near me? I would invite you along to see what you think? The land owner dosnt live near me so I can't get in contact untill I see them next to ask what it is...but sure looks like a set to me :s
  17. All she's for is a bit of ferreting and marking warrens so I assumed I was doing the right thing by getting her out now and just learning the ropes. She chased two rabbits 2 night, one after the other so maybe its just using the dummy is boring her after the two runs she just seemed real keen and just hunted up the rest of our walk lol I'm sure shell be fine soon enough
  18. there's no cattle on this field or any of the surround bud. I'm gonna speak to the farmer tomorrow and ask her what the crack is up there. Ill take some piks and get them up asap so everyone can take a look. Atb
  19. i$ not sure about the top one, I could well be because of the shere size of it but the one hole at the bottom of the field is definatly a set!
  20. I don't no tbh. Havnt had a chance to speak appart from last night when I got the permision and she didn't mention anything about sets so...
  21. Yes pretty much in the middle couldn't see any tracks but didn't rely pay that much attention to things like that was just shocked to see it there tbh!
  22. ok then so it must be the good stuff then
  23. Just been walking out on a new bit of permision I gained last night for ferreting to have a look and well the first bit is ok with a few rabbits sat out but on the other majority of the land cover is absolutly ridiculous, any way around the top of the field there was a huge hole in the ground about 5ft wind and roughly 10ft deep and looked as tho some one had dug it out with a digger to get something out as at the botton it looked as tho it was leading into a set...I then walked further down the field and ther was another pile of freshly dug mud and a hole that looked astho I could fit into it
  24. oh ok then well this got category 3 on it so god knows what that means lol
