  3. also to add that he said he sales so much of the stuff that he charges 1.50 per lb of tripe so I think if my dog does enjoy it and I see any difference in her then I will shop around as 1.50 I think is quite steep for tripe? Atb
  4. Well I've just been to my local butcher and he gave me a 1lb stick of green tripe to try for free and he said its the best feed for dogs in his oppinion so I will defrost and try it 2 morrow and over the next few weeks with mixer and see how my dog does on it.
  5. Kenneling outside is not an option as my misses loves the dog and aswell as my hunting companion she is a house pet also. Ill just try to keep encouraging play, just bought some more dog toys from the pet shop so leave them lurking around the house and make sure the little ones toys are in her room. Thanks for replys. Atb
  6. it could be that my misses might tell her off for picking up my daughters toys when I'm out of the house, I no she dosnt smack her or anything just usualy a sharp "NO!" So that could be the problem
  7. no she hasn't had a season yet so she could be in soon, ill just keep an eye on her and see what happens
  8. have you told her off for mouthing a rabbit while out, she seems reluctant to engage, has she been confronted about her actions while grabbing a bunny in a net or something similar or have you disciplined her for anything recently, dogs can tune us out to fit in, basically in a pack all the dogs have to fit in they become equal and opposite to each other , so when we show a strong emotional attachment to something a nervy dog can seem disinterested in it but its only the association with us that does it, if we weren't there the dog would be all over it, work on the relationship, plen
  9. I feed my pup on dry food but on friday my misses gives the pup half a cooked chicken all the chicken stripped ready for eating..but I want to put a bit of weight on her and was told to give her tripe for a few weeks with the dry food and shell soon put the weight on.
  10. She's still puppyish in her attitude and I don't think she's coming into season :s ill give the training and working a break for a few weeks and then see how it goes from there thanks for the replys. Atb

  12. I was out in the garden tonight with my pup and she won't retrieve or pick up the rabbit skin dummy I have. Now she's always had one of these dummies and I've never had a problen and since I've been taking her out she will pick a rabbit up and retrieve it fine, but I noticed that on sunday while out ferreting she just sniffed and licked the dead rabbits and didn't even attempt to pick them up and. Also a rabbit in the hedge in the net was in water and instead of grabbing it like she has done in the past she just barked at it!this evening she wouldn't pick the dummie up! Nothings changed in her
  13. I'm thinking of going out with the gun tomorrow but after taking a shot of at a pigeon earlier in the garden and missing I think I need to sight the gun. Now I've never sighted a gun as my father in law usually does it as he uses the gun more than me, but he's not around so I need to do it my self! So any tips on the best way to go about doing it please? The guns a weihrauch HW 99s with a nikko sterling 3-9x40 scope cheers liam.

  21. either there people browsing the site and well end up with a load of new members in the morning or the anti's, rspca and anyother bunny hugger browsing for fuel! But seems this topic is all PRE-BAN convo they may aswell spend there evening getting there head down instead of wasting there pathetic life searching for ways to stop people doing something they love and that has been around a lot longer than the majority of them put together

  23. Phones acting funny reposting things that I havnt clicked on and keeps freezing! Pis+ing me off! Can they not get a proper app for phones and tablets!? (Sorry off topic I know lol)
  24. I had a wst cross whippet grey pre ban and she would be up a deers ass and stick there but she would never strike! Lol used to frustrate me, she would take hare rabbit and the odd fox doubled up but would never strick at a deer! Lol I like my beddy crosses and small lurchers so if they ever removed the ban and I was after a deer dog I think I would go beddy grey, altho it would be quite funny to see what my little beddy whippet would do if put on one....but sadly that day will never come
