    Yea in all fairness tho it dosnt bother me to much as I think my lurcher would be more happy just being a house dog and giving her 2 walks a day lol, its just more for me mate as he just wants to get a few for his dog and she is keen as mustard! The rabbit situation is a hit and miss atm unlike in previous years when we could get anything from 10-30 a night. Times are hard but I've got a terrier to bring on now aswell and I have plenty of work for when she's come of age so as said my lurcher will be happy curled upin front of the fire and to go out on the odd occasion.

    Whent out last night with a mate (also on this site) just to try and give his dog a few slips and took my 9 month beddi whip just so she could have a watch, but with a full moon and no wind it dint look promising..along with the shortage of rabbits around here this year anything would have been a bonus! Walked the 1st few fields and there was a couple of rabbits about but not worth slipping a dog on, as soon as I switched the lamp on the rabbits we're making there way to the hedge row.     Cheers for the replys. The radio will be left on tonight and my misses whent out and got a hot water bottle so well see how it goes 2 night...surley she will get used to it (fingers crossed) lol

    Yh I suppose but you know what woman are like! I've stuck the lurcher in the kitchen by the side of the crate to keep the pup company. My misses is banging on about getting a hot water bottle and hormone spray...feckin idiot lol

    Ok so now the new pup (8weeks old) has had a couple of days to settle in we are now gonna start to leave her on her own over night in the crate in the kitchen. As we had not problems with my lurcher when she was a puppy and previous dogs in the past were kenneled outside, this pup just crys, crys and crys lol. Now it dosnt bother me as ill sleep through anything but my misses is getting wound up already haha! Appart from just leaving her what else can I do to keep her quite in a sense lol? Any sugestions? Atb

    I have a 9 month. Beddi whippet who has done a bit of ferreting and caught a couple of rabbit while out walking, gonna start her watching on the lamp in the next few weeks also I have a 8 week old pat x lakey so will be (with a bit of luck) be using her for digging when she comes of age...... 2 dogs is plenty for the time and work I have available atm but considering adding another terrier at some point in the near future.

    Ill recomend these pups! I have a bitch out of the litter both sire and dam are both cracking animals in the flesh and pups are crackers. Be mad to miss a pup from here

    Just got back from a all in all 6 and a half hour trip to pick up my new pup. A patterdale x lakeland who's already been named by my daughter as belle lol! Any way a thanks to jamie and family for rearing such a nice litter. Cheers liam

    Depends what your needs for the dog is? If its digging your after then look up a few post of people whith lakelands and find out if there's any planned litters from worker to worker, or if its a looker your after for the summer shows then either get in touch with garry middleton or google search breeders...all failing there's plenty of crap that's being past on, on places like "pets for home" ect.     sounds a good plan, just the trap it to big to go in the run lol so the chickens are in the garage tonight and I've put the trap with some bait init where the chickens we're before.

    I have 2 live rat traps set, also a live fox trap. Let's see if any fecker trys to take any more of my chickens lol
