  1. Don't knock yourself down Skot. You look a pretty bloody sound shooter to me mate. I'd not take you on lightly here in a competition, laddie. There are some awesome-skilled, top lads on this forum mate. I reckon you are one among them! Simon Thank you sir, your too kind! I don't do bad at 35-45 yds, but im nowhere near the level that some of the guys on here are at. especially when it comes to longer ranges. thanks mate, SKoT
  2. nice shooting mate. doesn't really bother me if I cant retrieve a Maggie or crow, but if a pigeon or squizzel gets stuck im gutted, waste of good food!
  3. as a beginner to hunt? you need to practice first on targets so you can shoot straight, don't just want to be injuring live animals, you need to make sure you can kill it cleanly before you take the shot. don't mean any offence here, I just don't know how much experience you have pcp are easier to shoot, but a springer will teach you about recoil and make you a better shot as for the gun, light hw95k or air arms s410 heavy hw97k or hw100 there my preferences for a decent rifle all the best mate, let us know how you get on SKoT
  4. nice one. gun looks beautiful! see you stole my idea for a title tho  SKoT

  9. shpuld have got a springer I do like the hw100 tho SKoT
  10. air rifle membership is £47 not sure bout these discounts tho
  11. get another one and put about 7-10 pellets in it, and you have a cheap magpie call
  12. looks a nice stock to work on mate, nice grain in the wood. will the mahogany stain make it go a deep dark red type color? deffo get porkybella on it give it the personal touch, like your sling
  13. Go for it mate 70 is a fair price, especially when you will have a better than brand new gun when your finished with it. and there at least 350 to buy brand new.. so the few hours labour it takes you to restore it is effectively saving you £300.. or if you sell it for about £270-£300 after its done your still making money I know your not just doing it for the money mate hope you didn't take that the wrong way
  14. Always fancied these blue lam 97k's just wish they did the thumbhole 97 stock in laminate blue!

Pcp or not I love mine too mate, shes got a self fitted vmach kit in, shes nice to shoot, the best I have ever shot, but when I have a go on some peoples SFS springers at the upcoming meet im sure I will want one for my self.. so might have to send my .22 hw97 off

  21. roughtly I zero at 27yd in .22 .. and just work out aimpoints for 10 15 20 25 30 35 40 45 50 55 and 60 yards. not that I shoot that far, but its good to know. I usually stick to 10x or maybe 8x mag
  22. Ayup lads and lasses. quick couple of hours out on my perm with my mate, hes rifle-less at the min so I let him have a go of my little beauty the HW95K, and I took my beloved KaTie out to play bit of plinking in a slight wind, but we were both getting good 5p sized groups, him with the 95 and JSB exact, and me with KaTie and 4.50 H&N FTT . I was hitting a drawing pin at 35 yards 1/3 shots and hitting my small spinner as big as a 10p everytime. jobs a good 'un. so off we go for a mooch, my mate shot 2 woodys, a neck shot on a 18-20 yard adult female low on a bare branch, and a
  23. FTT 4.50mm 10 shots high 707.8 fps .. low 686.6 fps .. avr 698.65 fps .. 9.32 FPE - spread 21.2 fps / 0.56 fpe JSB 4.52mm 10 shots high 729.6 fps .. low 711.2 fps .. avr 722.4 fps .. 9.73 FPE - spread 18.4 fps / 0.50 fpe as you can see the JSB are both more consistent and hit harder than the FTT .. at least through my gun.. haven't done a proper accuracy test between the 2 , the wind is not allowing that!!
