  1. Looks a great rifle, someone will be happy! just wish I could shoot right handed when I see these rifles! good luck with the sale mate. SKoT
  2. Thanks Davy, I don't do too bad but im not the best by a long way!! The bottom one was the wind and so was the one off to the left.. the other 4 as you say did go through the same hole, just low and right of the centre cross. god knows about the high shot..! like I say instead of a consistent wind taking them all off one way , it was blustering allover! get me on an indoor range and I bet I could tighten this group up also this was with the supedomes, it likes jsb exact better so that could also tighten the groups up slightly. don't forget tho 35 yards is pretty close.. just
  3. Its pretty crap tbh. Hardly ever any pigeons.. no rats Suppose its better for the farmer that way tho ! The small woodland he owns is good for pigeons and crows.. but ive wiped out most of the squirrels :/
  4. Nice one mate .. how big was the trout? did you take it home? fried trout rabbit and woodpigeon would be a weird combo! my trout, only caught one(brown- had loads of rainbow), was about 2 lb

  10. Ladies and Gentlemen, for your viewing pleasure.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bwaM4bbPRP8 Once upon a time.... Well the story goes.. I see this pigeon every day for the last 2 weeks, sh*tting allover the tractors on the farm, farmer asks me to get it sorted. for one reason or another its had to always wait.. until today. went down to the wood to zero the panorama 4-12x50 on the Vmach HW97KT, after an indecisive week of which scope was the right one for my beloved KaTie.. 7 shots 35 yards , could have been better but I wasn't really on form Edited to add.. there was a not
  11. Haha good write up mate, you win some you lose some! just think .. if you get up early and shoot 'sundays roast' in the head first thing in the morning, it will be that little bit fresher than if you would have got one tonight
  12. quite frankly in a word, for a hunting rifle, no. fine for shooting tin cans mate.. but you will need a better quality rifle if you want to shoot live vermin. ATB SKoT
  13. Like tonight there has been a feral pigeon in the farmers shed that has eluded me for the past 2 weeks.. I came round the corner , 45 yards on the lazer range finder.. seen a low wall type structure about 10 yards closer.. slowly walked up to this ,, clicked the lazer again . 35 yards, the range I had just zeroed my scope with the rws superdome pellets.. so taking a carefull steady kneeling supported shot to make sure I gave as much respect to this pigeon as it deserved I squeezed the trigger and down it came. pellet impacting exactly where I wanted it, behind the eye. I could have tak
  14. They retain enough kinetic energy to cleanly kill at more than 35 yards mate. stick to as far as you can shoot accurately tho.. like me, I wouldn't shoot further than 45-50 yards, if the conditions were good.. I always try to get to about 30 yards if I can
  15. Lol guss you need a bigger one then ah well
  16. Take the obj. Lens cover to a gunshop and ask rlthemnnicely and they might swap you it for the next size up Or try cut some of the inside rim of the plastic out with a hot knife to see if it fits then?? No worries mate At least they are doing their job rather than hidden away in my shooting box lol.. theyve gone to a better place haha
  17. theres a decent condition bsa supersport in the local gunshop, was thinking about that.. but for £115 plus cost of sandpaper blueing etc im not going to bother.. hope I can find an old for less than £100 ...
  18. Was wondering mate, what mounts have you got on there, that mamba looks like its sitting nice, tried my mamba lite in my spoortsmatch one piece but the 'saddle'? turret area of the scope in the middle.. well the bottom of that was touching the mounts if I had the reticule set straight, I had to get it off-centre to get the mounts tightened enough proper balg as I wanted to use my mamba lite on it.. was going to oreder some sportsmatch medium 2 piece mounts, but im going to try my hawke 1 piece mounts aswwell, see how that goes....
