  1. Here's KaTie, my last gun standing, after her stablemates have been traded towards the darkside.
  2. mate I was happy with my bsa lightning , then I joined this forum and have spent a couple of grand on shooting stuff over the last 2 years! glad I have tho, and its made me a better marksman learning tips and tricks off the best shooters I have ever seen. I out-grew my lightning pretty quick and as soon as funds allowed I had a hw97 now im half way through buying a hw100!!!!
  3. too hardcore, had to come back for more? lol hell yeah nah im more like tier 4 actually, just wanted to invent tier 6
  4. ............. Anyway, by some of the replies I have got to this thread its as if im a total noob who has never shot an air rifle or hunted before.. yeah I like to think deep into stuff sometimes, I wouldn't have even typed this whole thread up in the first place if I didn't have half an hour to kill before I had to go to work! my reason for this thread was to see how other people did it. so when I set up my mini target range thing I will do it from the back of the scope rather than the muzzle. makes the most sense although it is really insignificant being just 1 yard out in the grand
  5. Nice one mate, cant wait to get my hw 100 kt .22
  6. That's very good mate. id be well happy with that.
  7. JSB exact lemon fresh group best in my hw97kt .177. and im tier 6
  8. I was going to set up my own range using tent pegs,, and have a wooden L-shape moveable target holder to use, or get 2 banksticks with string across them like a washing line and peg on some card targets.. making sure it was safe behind them of course.
  9. Time alone with rod or rifle in hand is always noce. good to be alone in a quiet beautiful setting with no distractions. really lets you clear your head and its very therapeutic , for me at least anyway. I could stay for hours motionless just sat against my tree looking at the trees watching the little birds sing, or sat in my fishing chair watching the ripple of the water. after just typing that I just want to head down to the farm wood now, but have to go to work oh and roger, there seems to be quite a lot of man love flowing from your posts recently
  10. I got to view it last night.. every now and angain the screen would just go black, is that what you meant out the something going wrong with the editing.? but overall it was a pretty good vid. keep up the good work. very professional looking, was hoping the accuracy review would be up soon, was looking forward to that. but nevermind
  11. ahh but all you have to do is convert that.. for example 50 m is 55 yards or X feet or X centimetres or X of a mile LOL
  12. Ayup lads, In the run up to getting my new hw100kt I have been like an excited child before Christmas.. and have millions of thoughts all running through my mind.. and I have came up with the following question,, how do you know the exact distance to your target, or actually, HOW do you measure it accurately?! I put it to you, that one mans 34yards is another mans 35 .... 1 yard, is 3 feet, or 36 inches... the distance from my scopes ocular lens/eyebell/back lens whatever its called, to the front end of the silencer, on my hw95k is roughly 37 inche, aka 1 yard.. so, if im walking a
  13. If you get a 50p for a rabbit then that's still better than nowt
  14. Niceone mac, whats the shotcount like on the raider? and what bipod you got on there.?
  15. They are both as accurate as eachother... not to many brake barrel target guns If your meaning after X amount of shots the barrel-breach-action lock up goes slack or is not exactly the same everytime then that's a load of rubbish, on a top quality rifle like the 95 or the 98 or the ... Ze Germans aren't too shabby when it comes to engineering
  16. Nice one! i cant wait to be the owner of one of these amazing darkside rifles
  17. They are both as accurate as eachother...
  18. I have a lamp, but im crap with it, just don't have 'the nack' wouldn't mind a nv but the price too much. maybe when I have my hw100 set up I might save for a nv , until then its the lamp and some filters. = the old fashioned way
  19. personally, I would choose the 97 as I prefer a heavy gun. helps dampen recoil aswell. but they are both as accurate and powerfull as the other, and both are top quality rifles. especially when tuned. so do you want a breakbarrel or underlever, do you want light or heavy..
  20. Hope you and your fam are ok mac 40 is too young to go. too many peoples lives are affected by the big C My thoughts are with you mate. RIP
  21. Nice one roger glad your happy with your set up tony I think the near and far thing is a way to calibrate your scope using chairgun pro, but instead of calculating the drop of the pellets at further ranges, you use a 3/5/10 shot chrono string from the muzzle and then at a given near (muzzle) and far distance, e.g. 55m ? and calculate it that way, taking out any shooter error from the equasion so you get 100% perfect results. sure Si will correct me if I got this wrong? I will be starting again with my hw100kt when I get it, pellet testing, chronoing then calibrating it etc.. its
  22. might actually just buy a bean bag and save some money... when I had my aas410k few years back I took about 2 shots from off the bipod lol.(apart from zeroing) theres no mad rush anyway, not as if I need a bipod for the gun to work lol. il have a think about it more when I have the gun cheers lads
