Disposing Of Fox Carcass
Skot Ruthless Teale replied to Skot Ruthless Teale's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
What if a dog walker found it!! ? rubbish bin, really? suppose a deep burial would be an option. what about having a big fire and sticking it on. -
Disposing Of Fox Carcass
Skot Ruthless Teale replied to Skot Ruthless Teale's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
Heard they don't taste so good... what do you do with the bones, head and fur/skin, if you do take the meat off... my old mate worked on a farm with an incinerator but that's not an option this time. thanks -
Just wondered what the procedure is to getting rid of dead fox's after dogs have them or after they get shot. cheers
-
I could shoot the 97 pretty well in the sporter but better in the thumbhole. the 95k I had I didn't like, it didn't feel 'right' like the sporter of the 97 did. god knows why. guess it just wasn't the rifle for me lol
-
I did like the weight and balance of my old sporter stock from my hw97k, that pianoman now has, I believe on his hw77, was a very nice stock but I just prefer the thumbhole. which probably is slightly heavier each to their own tho
-
A good rifle deserves a good scope..... but you might regret getting rid of the ultra, especially if its your only PCP. did you handle the thumbhole 97 aswell, ?? theres quite a difference from the sporter version...

Wrong Order..
Skot Ruthless Teale replied to Skot Ruthless Teale's topic in General Airgun Discussion
that's what I was thinking. hopefully a few magpies will be meeting the darkside 1 shot SKoT style this weekend at my old permission after the lady has asked me to come sort them out. -
Little Hunters New Plincker
Skot Ruthless Teale replied to bigmac 97kt's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Haha now't wrong with a .177 mate, ask my 97kt but for hunting it has to be (well it doesn't really but ya'know..) the mans cal- .22 like my new hw100kt will be on Friday looks an alright little gun for a plinker, doesn't matter if he knocks ten bells of sh1t out of it at £100 -
Ayup guys ordered a scope, mounts and pump online t'other day so im fully prepared to shoot my hw100kt at the weekend and they got the order mixed up!! . I was hoping the scope would be a sidewinder sr pro instead, but it wasn't to be, as it was just the panorama I ordered.. and they sent the right mounts aswell. ah well... so they sent the wrong pump you're thinking, yes.? well,, bingo, indeed they did... I had ordered and paid for a FX 3 stage pump @ £138.99 .. and they sent .. wait for it... £159.99's worth of FX 4 Stage all singing all dancing one with gears FREE UPG

Tampered With?
Skot Ruthless Teale replied to shootingmadgeorge's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
looks like you could do with getting it chronoed! -
Weihrauch HW97KT for me. especially good after a proper tune wouldn't mind a L/H TX200HC tho. .22 is better for hunting IMO

Should I Get It?
Skot Ruthless Teale replied to Forbes's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Its in a totally different league altogether mate! the lightning is an OK-good gun.. the 100 is a BEAST! if you can afford I would definitely recommend it. my hw100 is on order as we speak -
Steve Watson (A1Woc) Custom Hamster
Skot Ruthless Teale replied to zini's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Looks the dogs bullocks that! cracking handywork there steve Aaron your rangefinding comment made me laugh, that you might tell Si after the comp is finished come on Si do us .22 hw100kt owners proud just had the call from the gunshop this morning mine is en route and should be there tomorrow or Wednesday, shame im working tho might be able to pick it up Friday morning I don't start work until 13:00 and finish at 17:00 so get home and stroke it and caress it lol, then fill it up bang the scope on and then I will be ready to zero and chrono it on Saturday. seen my old permission -
im only getting the hw100kt .22 purely as a hunting/pest control rifle. for its near silent operation and quick reloading but shooting targets with it will bring me no joy whatsoever. that's what my 97 is for.
-
The standard weihrauch hw97 thumbhole stocks, beech or synthetic are 100% ambidextrous mate if you get a custom one it may not be ambi. hope this helps
-
Cheers guys. Looks like i need some falcon AP -What weight are they?- and some AA and jsbs to try.
-
Yo nice one Si, already got some .22 FTT 5.53, and gaystate rangemaster Li's. and some bisley magnum and hobby aswell. from when I had the 97kt .22 if you have a chrono record for all the pellets you used would you mind pm'ing me the results, or letting me know the pellet that gave the highest readings, so I can hopefully keep mine under the limit when I get it,... was going to get a tin of AA fields to try aswell as the ones I already have. and probably some falcon AP and some sperfields to try aswell. got another noob question... do pcp have to 'bed in' like a springer..????????
-
No not that bad mate But to be honest i was dissapointed with the three doughnuts i had and couldnt work out what the fook was going on i think they sailed clean over the targets. Dont get me wrong rivi course is tricky to say the least mate wind and all that but i knew what the rifle was capable of so thought i was the problem I got 3 donuts aswell putting safety off before im on target. and then touching the really light trigger by accident bad practice on my part but lesson learnt I suppose. im going to smash the next hft allover next time I get a go on one, probably at the next

well in good shooting mate. at least you didn't totally lose faith and give up. confidence restored then SKoT
