    I will try make a 70 yard grouping next time im out. it wont be very tight tho LOL on another thread i did a 59 yard grouping just bigger than a 10p coin with a spring piston hw97kt in .177 have a look at that thread if you want.. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/248588-springer-59-yards-grouping/

    My longest kill was a 45 yards squirrel in near enough perfect conditions. On paper about 50-55 yards is longest range for me at the mo but practice makes perfect... I personaly try always to get as close as possible.but each to their own, and as has been said already.. if you know you can do it at longer ranges then why not?! Some top shooters on here who practice a lot and i dont doubt that they could kill cleanly at + yards in the right conditions

    This is my local papers front page news! i was thinking of walking around the streets shotting crows off peoples chimneys, lampposts etc after work.. police wont be bothrred so il be ok wont i?! Or goto the local woods/parks and shoot loads of squirrels.. you knw- seing as there will be 'no danger to the public' o.O by the way im only joking lol.. LOL

    so as for the basc one.. would you go full for £66 or just for airgunning at £46? if you only do airguns, target and vermin etc... not into deer or shotguns or anything like that....?

    you should try a few different 'top' brand pellets to see which suits your rifles barrel best, it can be quite shocking the difference in grouping size. good luck

    in my opinion. some animals are 'harder' than others. iv shot loads of squirrels in the right spot and they dont always come straight down. with .22 sub 12ftlb.. and .177 sub 12ftlb. there what id call 'hard'. most of the rabbits i shoot and feral pigeons just go straight over. sometimes crows and rats can be 'hard' aswel. i hope you understand what i mean..

    haha like i said it was a short write up lol. could have gone into a lot more detail but im not too fast at typing.. and you would have all been reading it all day lol. going to do my pellet test soon now hes had about 3000 through. got 7 pellets to test but i recon jsb and air arms will be best. Just wondering. i was thinking do 25, 30, 35 and 40 yards 5shot groups when i do the comparisons.. i have 20 of each pellet bagged up ready for it. just need to adjust my scope first and give barrel a good clean. then re-lead it whilst i chrono and re zero it ready for 'the pellet test'

    Was a nice day so i didnt want to waste it! Lol. Mawders, its not that big of a permission and there arent that many squirrels there.. never get a shot at birds and theres no rabbits. i need to find some new permission Lukehunt.. ive hardly played it. just got bored when it was chuckinv down with rain for 3 days straight :/ so as you see from my recent posts about my outings all i seem to get is squirreels. need some rabbiting land il have to get out on a mission to find some haha

    ayup lads! been out for a couple of hours after work. going to keep it short and sweet lol got 3 squirrels all great clean 1 shot headshots first one was about 20 yds away facing down on a trunk, i was standing but then i couldnt get steady enough so i had to kneel down in a bunch of waist high nettles. second one was in a very 'high traffic' 'squirrely' area of the permission.. i was going to cross a small clearing and it moved, about 5-8 yds away! it was about 10 feet up and i guessed the hold under just right lol. it was hanging on by its back leg for about 30 secs until i

    what about if you have rust inside the allen key screws for your scope mounts?! was thinking leave it soaking in wd40 or a bit og un oil then get like a cotton ear bud thingy?!
