  1. Im planning on a hw100kt .22 in a couple of months after my hol to go with my .177 hw97kt but i might keep my eye out for this new springer next year if its going to be that damn good! Lol im sure you will be doing a full accuracy test/review on it si when you get the 'go ahead' lol
  2. Hitting a pin head (almost?)everytime at 35yds is excellent shooting mate I need a lot more practise yet... lol
  3. I was going to say try get a hw77 or 97 or try tx200. Avoid the lightning xl tho if i was you. all the best pal
  4. to add to my previous statement, i think they say in the magazines that 35-40 yards is the maximum range, so that you dont get new/inexperienced shooters thinking that they could walk straight into a field with a rubbish rifle that isnt zeroed properly or powerfull enough, and start shooting at rabbits 60- yards away.. as a 'safety' type thing if you get my meaning...? to stop irrisponsible shooting before it can start ...and to stop/prevent needless suffering.. whereas you have top quality kit and you understand it and know it so you can humanely deliver your pelllets consistantly
  5. Absolutely no reason for you 2 to stop taking long range shots. that muppet obviously doesnt know what hes talking about; whereas you 2 do. you goto a lot of effort practising and calibrating your scopes and testing the most accurate pellets for your rifles. you know where to aim spot on with your holdover because you know your rifles. and i dont doubt your shooting abilities one bit. you know what your doing and you do it exceptionaly well. dont listen to that idiot that thinks 35 yards must be the absolute maximum range to shoot vermin with an air rifle.. he doesnt know what hes on about! K
  6. Rangemaster li jsb exact accupell... There are plenty of good pellets, its just expensive finding out which is best for your rifles barrel. lol all the best
  7. nice write up mate glad to see yor enjoying your new rifle rangefinder is probably a good idea tho
  8. Good game that with wind and range being key factors. not like cod where every bullet goes bang on.. I prefer running around skyrim shooting wolfs rabbits deer etc with my bow and arrows
  9. just a random thought... do you think i could have damaged the rifling with the bronze brush??!! it didnt seem too tight/stiff
  10. just swapped to my ags scope going to make a big target set up to zero with, . then when i get home from work tomoro it will be grab the gun and go lol try get a few more pellets through it and see what the groups are like. hope my panorama is ok?! only had it since satdy
  11. Congratulations on your new rifle hope it provides you many happy years shooting. All the best with mastering your hold technique aswel
  12. Im still in 2 minds lol it looks easy enough on the vids. havent read davys guide yet but il probably let andy show me first lol
  13. cheers davy and andy . i have 3 scopes i put my new one on it on satday hawke panorama ev ao ir 4-12x50 with 1 piece high mount. also got a hawke sport hd 3-9x40, and an ags 3-9x40 and a 1piece medium mount. so il change the scope over and put another tin of pellets through it. then if its still upto no good il give you a shout andy just wondering will i need a spring compressor thingy majiggy if i was to go in there myself, and what stuff would i need to give it a good cleanse and re lube it all and polish it up?? il send you my email in a pm davy cheers
  14. the recoil screw is a good idea, but even without one your mounts shouldnt be sliding around.. are they damaged? where they are supposed to grip the rails.. i had some cheap mounts that bent over so they wouldnt go on at all. if you know what i mean?
  15. top shooting mate!! how many shots do you get out of your rifle? did u take a pump/bottle with you?
  16. right lads you wanted to know how i got on so here ya go.... been out last night for an hour and been plinking all day today near enough!! had about 100 through it last night then the rest of the tin of jsb's today so 500 shots (give or take a few) since i cleaned it. first few shots sounded really loud but then they went back to normal. as for accuracy, cant hit a barn door witth it. (to be fair it was windy as f**k) even after 500 shots it still wont hit a 2p everytime at 36 yards, when before it could easily do a 5p sized group if i was concentrating.it seems like after another 500 it mig
  17. Lurkings not allowed haha good stuff!
  18. Nice one lads just what i needed to make this boring night shift go a bit quicker! Keep them coming
  19. i was under the impression that i could just run down the fields putting my gun to rabbits heads in my ghille.. as long as i dont fart they wont smell me, and if i dont coff or sneeze they wont hear me
  20. i have just got the jack pyke llcs ghillie in woodland oak flavour with the gloves and the balaclava aswell. really pleased with it it seems great. i got the m/l size and its a nice fit for me im pretty small lol. in winter it will probably stretch over my big advantage timber coat.. hopefully. the pants will deffo go over my army surplus camo pants and the gloves are a bit big for my small hands (like a girls, no lie!) but if i get some other gloves under them it should be 'reet. there nicce and thin material tho so i can feel the trigger/adjust the scope with them on which is a posi
  21. my mate had the break barrel one im not sure if it was the devil or the demon.. but it was pretty rubbish to be fair. he got a couple of rabbits with it at close range. i didnt have my chrono when he had it tho so i dont know about its power, but the accuracy was pretty bad after about 30 yards it really opened up the groups.. best avoided for pest controlling. plinking at tin cans would be all it was good for to be honest.
  22. good shooting mate, i rekon they'd had there fill of magic mushrooms before the nice jsbs you gave them
  23. Nice write up mate enjoyed reading that thanks for sharing. And all the best to your mate hope it all goes well again when he gets a pigeon in the sights.
