    There are confirmed past cases in the Scotland with hard evidence. Here I holiday in Cannich every year...when you see the vast wilderness of Munroe's/ Glens etc it is easy to see how they could live mainly below the radar. I have friends working in forestry there, who are definitely not crackpots... who have seen big cats. Also far too many up to date sightings to be coincidence??????? Sightings

    Have you tried garages that service 4wd pickups etc? Also farmers usually have a fairly good scrap pile. Griff

    Only had it happen if the sheath is wet. Of if abrasive grit gets embedded in the leather or kydex the motion of drawing the knife through time scratches the blade. Griff

    ive been heating it up to critical temp, so it's non magnetic and then quenching in oil, and then once fully cool and polished back up I've been tempering it to a straw colour with the blow torch.It may not be the best way to do it but it seems to work well on the steel I'm using. Worked for centuries so no reason it won't work now. I have done a lot that way and works well for a quick blade. My Mrs got a new oven and it has a higher top temp than the last one so after hardening with the quench it comes into the kitchen and i temper in it with a soak for 45min at 220 ish for straw/bro
