  2. Fcuk all turned up, we sat on the stable like a couple of lemons until the small hours. Piss flaps.
  3. Finally got my chooks, not what i originally planned, better. Got a trio of unrelated Light Sussex which is what i was wanting. I've got pics of the allotment on my camera will upload them tonight.

  7. He thought it might be a dog but can't say for certain until we get it in the lamp. He's got 4 shelties in an outside kennel, and inside he's got a chihuahua, a collie and his lurcher so it wasn't one from the sanctuary. Put the shits up me, when i wasn't working i'd go across with my two and take the collie and lurcher on mooches for fecking miles around that area. Roll on Saturday!!!
  8. found a sparrow nest in my allotment shed today, six chicks and mum wasn't bothered by me. Can't beat wildlife can ya?

      Found a wrens nest yesterday too in my big shed.....cant see in to count and didnt want to disturb...:-)

      I found it by accident, found an old drag net up in the rafters so brought it down and the nest was in amongst it. Put everything back where it was and watched the female go backwards and forwards so happy days.

  15. He lives in the middle of nowhere, the farmer nearest hasn't had any bother apparently. Still saying there's a terrible smell that goes with the sighting, i just told him it's an omen and death and he better include me in his will We'll see!!
  16. Well lads i know you've all taken the piss, but he saw it last night around the same time. A lot of commotion woke him up, looked out the bedroom window, to see a "black animal the size of a GSD" checking out the barn where the chickens are, checked out his Barn Owl, then wandered off up the track...big game hunt is on this weekend

  22. Plot update - Off work so thought i'd pop down just to check everything over. Ended up staying 3 hours patching everything up, making an aviary for finches and digging over another bed for potatoes. Finally picking up my chickens on Thursday coming, 1 x 8 month old Light Sussex cockerel, 3 x 1 year old hens and 8 x 2 week old unrelated chicks to go in my brooder at home (Mix of copper blue/black marans and RIR). Been looking high and low for some so i'm over the moon and it means whilst my chicks are under heat the 3 hens will hopefully start the egg laying process. Leaving my aviary to st
