Some breeds are more likely to be aggressive towards humans because of the original purpose and breeding behind them. That's just a fact. Akitas, being a highly rank driven primitive breed are one of those breeds. That isn't necessarily saying they're "evil" dogs, just that you need to be aware of that and so be extra careful with socialisation and training.

Diatomaceous earth should do it if you can get a good covering on the areas you're finding them? Perfectly safe around all other animals and children

Well that's the question isn't it? Looking at the working russel thread on here definitely gives me hope that the russel type has a solid following still But if there isn't a big enough community of folk to keep the type alive then I wouldn't say that's the fault of the KC? More the fault of folk jumping ship to the coloured types.

How long have Border Collies been KC registered? Don't see it effecting the working types... If there's a community of dedicated folk working and breeding any breed then the KC will have no effect on them.

Cracking looking dogs and impressive control too, still wouldn't trust them around kids though I wouldn't trust no breed with kids, Akitas are great with kids but you'd have to be a fool to leave any kid with any breed unattended. Who said anything about leaving dogs unattended with kids? From personal experience I wouldn't trust an Akita in the house with kids. All 3 kids that I know got attacked by Akitas weren't unattended, if they were they'd probably be dead I'm sure if you get one from the right breeder and raise it right they can be fine but at the end of the day they're a powerful,

Frontline is fecking useless these days, as said get on the Advantage or Advocate. You can get the Advantage online but need to go to the vet for Advocate.
