'fur Mommies' - A Pain To Lurcher Owners?
BGD replied to South hams hunter's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Surprised they didn't have it down as a bait dog! The amount of women I see down the park with "rescued bait dogs" It's like they feel they have to let everyone know what amazing people they are rescuing these dogs from such horrific situations when in reality the dog was probably just handed in to the rescue center cos the kids got bored of it or some other ordinary reason that wouldn't make the new owners sound like heroes. -
You can't get true hybrid vigour in dog breeding whether it's crossing different breeds or different strains within breeds they're still the same species so you'll never get hybrid vigour in the true sense of the word because they're not a hybrid. That's not to say widening the gene pool won't have positive effects, it's just not hybrid vigour.
-
Obviously they're still terrible, crippled examples of the breed but their back legs have been stretched back in those pics, the slope to their backs won't be anywhere near as extreme when they're standing naturally. Why they think standing them like that makes them look good I have no idea.

As far as problems go it's a nice one to have

Antis Trying To Get Boxing Day Meet Banned From Local Town
BGD replied to me1's topic in General Talk
Mounted fox hunting being a sport for toffs was the bullshit narrative Labour used to get support for the hunting ban I've known plenty of working class lads involved in hunts at all levels, even the Berkeley hunt will have working class folk that are dedicated followers I'm sure. -
What's your uncle's on your mothers side like, the say it follows from the maternal side!! No uncles on that side Ma was one of 7 sisters but her old man was a baldy What you been using? Go on tell us, I'm loosing mine and can't afford a Rooney?? I rub fresh dog shite into my scalp every night and leave it on til morning Try it tonight and let me know how you get on
-
If you get them into a professional to be blown up they might be able to clear up the image a bit for you but I wouldn't expect miracles.

I'll pick up a bottle of gin for her next time I drop off a bag of horseradish to be turned into relish -

Signed And assuming I'm at my Ma's for Christmas I might take the family over to lend a bit of support on Boxing Day, she's just round the corner from Lewes. -

The pain is worth it when you get to enjoy homemade horseradish relish at the end of it that shop bought shite has no kick to it. You could try wearing goggles while you grate the horseradish though (if you're a big girls blouse) -
Comes through the female side apparently. Don't know how accurate that is. Now you mention it I remember hearing that before. Guess I'll stop trying to track down the milkman then
-
Or you just had an easy life...lol Well I've got no kids and my Da had 9, I think you've cracked it
-
I think you're fine to take road kill and pass it on to a taxidermist to mount but I'd be fecking careful with any protected species, certainly wouldn't touch any badgers with how mental the laws are around them.
-
My Da didn't have a hair left on his head by my age, I guess the baldy gene skips a generation... Or my old dear has some explaining to do
-
Honestly couldn't tell you the last time I wore a hat, I was blessed with a thick head of hair unlike all you baldy c**ts
-
That's why you add the saluki, feathery ears keeps them warm and stops them shivering
-
You got a point there like. Used to think mine was missing something from his diet eating nettles, so dunno what nutrients are in them, that's not in kale, broccoli, spinach etc. One of mine grazes like a cow as soon as she's off the lead near any greenery, her diets no different to all my others and they don't do it so I just put it down to her being a bit weird. Eating nettles is definitely a weird one though, can't feel too good
-
It might not find what it's missing from it's diet in it's shite but that doesn't stop the compulsion to seek out the nutrients it's missing. More often than not it's just a dirty habit though
-
Can sometimes be because the dog is lacking something in its diet but on the other hand your dog could just be a dirty knacker Clear it up before it gets a chance to eat it, problem solved
