  1. it would get lot of exercise plus lot of bike work as well, you right good size for your house ,but hell of a watch dog Yeah that's my thinking, bit smaller than a GSD or Rotti but still a formidable guard dog. Perfect for in the house As forest of dean says though the problem is finding one and not paying silly money for it, I've seen them going for a grand
  2. I've always liked the idea of getting an ACD as a general mooching companion/guard in the house. Think I'll go down that route when I'm after my next house dog, they sound perfect for it as long as you can keep them busy enough
  3. That's what I love about those wee staffs, even when they make old bones they barely slow down at all. Sure your wee man has a few years left in him still
  4. I like that wee staff of yours, reminds me of my Ma's dog
  5. You'll be in a care home this time next week!
  6. This is a very good point, a 15 ft long chain gives a dog 706 sq foot of space to move. For the same area you would need to build a kennel that was 20 ft wide and 35 ft long. Good luck finding the coin the build a kennel that big for multiple dogs Yep not knocking lads that keep their mutts in kennel setups, there's plus points to both kennels and chainspots but chainspots definitely have the edge when it comes to space and freedom.
  7. Ally dust is fecking nasty stuff, it's linked to causing Alzheimer's
  8. Reckon you could use honey badgers to ferret wolves? That bloke in the ferreting section trains mink so I see no reason why it isn't possible Sure. I'd give it a go. Could you come round to put the collar on it for me first? Does StrongStuff do honey badger collars?
  9. Reckon you could use honey badgers to ferret wolves? That bloke in the ferreting section trains mink so I see no reason why it isn't possible
  10. Well done you've fecked your dog now it'll only be good for catching tshirts Sounds like you and the pup had a laugh and no harm done, things can't be serious all the time. It would be good a opportunity to work on the drop/leave it command though
  11. Maximum force potential and actual force applied are two different things
  12. Child abuse? Are you fecking serious? How can he get away with painting a whole section of society as nonces ffs Old Fred was on TV in the 70s, he's far more likely to be a nonce than any hare courser. The dirty fecking c**t
  13. "People involved in this activity can also be involved in other criminal activity" so now we're punishing people for crimes they MIGHT commit?
  14. How am I supposed to tell the man I've been shagging his girlfriend, cousin AND gran ffs
  15. They are a versatile breed, they even use them for fighting in Russia. For a large breed their agility and stamina is unreal. Versatile they may be, though I'd argue no more so than the other LGD types and when it comes to actually guarding livestock there's better out there than the Ovcharkas, mainly because they're not really used exclusively in that capacity anymore unlike the Kangal and Maremma The stamina and aglity in all the LGDs is seriously impressive I don't understand why careful outcrosses to them haven't been used to improve the general health of the mastiff types
  16. Not when it comes to actually doing the job they were bred for. Not by a long shot, imo.
  17. Every clip I've seen of Kangals on Wolves the Wolves are clearly not 100% fit or fully grown. Wolves eat Kangals too. A real deal wolf killing Kangal is a rare and highly prized asset over there, they're mostly there to chase the wolves off not kill them. They nearly always work in pairs too
  18. I find these mad old bints are usually barren probably why they act like wild animals are their babies
  19. Even those big powerful beasts wear great big spiked collars to protect them from the wolves when they're fighting the wolves they get in Turkey are much smaller than the wolves in North America too
  20. That is one proud Mam great to see a bitch looking so happy so soon after whelping. atb with the pups pal
  21. Is this the mad bitch that was screaming and hollering like he had just shot one of her kids? Didn't she go back and lay flowers at the earth?
  22. I like her alot but she'd definitely look better with ears how was she bred if you don't mind sharing?
  23. Ive used all sorts but since I started using the cheap duvets from Asda I've never looked back a double stuffs the kennel nicely so the dog can burrow down into it, looks cosy as feck and when it needs changing I just sling it and buy a new one for under £10. Don't have to deal with straw etc being dragged out of kennels and clogging up the drains in the yard anymore either
  24. Honestly one of the best threads on here, the quality of the pics is outstanding
