I think breeding terriers is similar to breeding game dogs in that you're breeding for mental traits rather than physical and because of that as soon as you start culling physical characteristics that don't have a direct negative impact on their ability to work you're at risk of losing the main thing you're breeding for. The only thing you should take into account when breeding terriers or game dogs is working ability, everything else will fall into place

Just been googling myself seems the state is split up into districts and some have quotas and others don't. Sounds like a fecking minefield TBH. He'd probably be fine either way though seeing as it had just been killing his livestock

There'll be a closed season and a legal limit to the number of animals you can take each season, depending on what state he's in obviously.
