Not sure how planning the murders proves he's not mentally ill Every expert that's dealt with him agrees he's a paranoid schizophrenic not that it's any excuse for what he did, plenty of schizophrenics out there that never harm anyone. They tend to look a hell of alot bigger than there are due to there thick coat. Some of the show stuff is huge but still under the jacket alot smaller set than a rottie . Schizophrenia makes it hard to distinguish between reality and delusions (those mad folk that think God is communicating with them are usually some type of schizophrenic), sufferers will often hear voices or see things and they can't tell what's real and what's just in their head. He isn't cured and they haven't said he is, there's no curing paranoid schizophrenia. What they are saying is that his condition is being managed and under control so they can move him back to a normal jail probably saving the state a fair whack of money. Doubt he'll ever see the outside but if he doesn't need the care Broadmoor provides anymore than he shouldn't be taking up a bed.
