I dont think I could live like that ... not knowing from one day to the next if your going to get any money ... how does it work if you have no work at all for weeks & does it mean you have to sign on & if so what happens to your expenditure commitments while your waiting for a claim to go through ? Its ridiculous when she worked for burger king they would drag her in for like 3 hours it shouldn't be allowed. She is still on zero hour else where but they are fair and she gets decent shifts and clocks up 25-35 hours week so can manage

no Bob Who can go bankrupt and what will happen? A common misconception is that companies go bankrupt. That is not true. In the UK bankruptcy only applies to individuals. Any individual can go bankrupt but you will need to meet the grounds for being able to petition. Luckily there is only one, which is that you are unable to repay your debts. You must owe more than £750.

If you don't own a house then you don't have to worry about losing the roof over your head thats the important thing. Good luck what ever you decide
-
It that instance yes it does. Personally I wasn't a business and it was banks and the tax man so to be honest I won't lose too much sleep over that. It obviously does have a knock on affect though. If I had my time again it wouldn't happen and I would have a house in country and a couple of acres but there you go. When your 19-20 with 50 quid in your wallet and its a choice between tax man or Guinness and pork scratchings mmmm

If you plan ahead you have a few options . They do ask have you sold any thing in the last few week etc. But anyway if things havent worked out for what ever reason you have options and its not the end of the world or worth getting ill over.I have loads of finance and credit available now and never touch a bloody penny of it lesson learnt lol

still got the meters now find it better and less bills to worry about
-
pain in the arse having to have meters fitted for gas leccy etc but it did me good in the long run and a nice fresh start. Like a breath of fresh air to be honest after struggling for years to get head above water. Nationwide are good as well they will give a standard bank account with no credit facilities where as most banks don't want to know did you have too get gas and leccy meters put in I take it you mean pay as you go that is correct because you are no longer allowed credit you can't have a normal leccy or gas bill etc. This is going back 10 years or more mind but i doubt much ha

to add I wasnt a home owner at the time or now but rented so I didnt have to worry about them taking my house. All so allowed to keep my car as I needed it to keep working and it wasn't a porsche
