  1. brilliant and looks like they are keeping him. Be right downer if they threw poor sod in the truck and took him back. Amazing how he made it considering traffic and god knows what else. Love a happy ending
  2. nhs is one area needs a good shake up and money thrown at it and looking after. Absurd a service that looks after our health is in such a mess. So yes

Slow going but got to be done more peas in Telephone Pea variety old digger working well now and nice to use. Leaving a trench around the sides now keep the dam paths back. Waste of a foot or two either side but worth it hard life

    Dummy Run

yes very true. I used to work the same bushes with a JR as a kid though I can't imagine him sitting there while I run nets out but saying that I never tried to train him. That venue I just potter about because its unlikely to get one to ground so I don't have to worry about him marking so handy for a summer time rattle about His not at the working with nets stage yet only matter of time before he gets balled up in netting but it will come
  7. Tidy up your garden David and pop a few fenns down worked for me. I left a bit of junk around one winter and few bags of compost stuff next thing the sods were moving in. Tidy and a trap or two down permanent and they no longer visit
  8. Sowed some peas today and dipped in paraffin then buried the netting around them to try keep the mickys out sowed parsnip, chard and row of carrots. Plot number one is pretty sorted now. Got the old mower out and gave the path a blast Plot number two is bit more challenging with the heavy old clay. Turned half over but trying to pick out bindweed and dandelion root out a solid chunk of clay is fun but we will get there. The straw berry bed leaves a lot to be desired going to be a hands and knees weeding job to make sense of that
  9. Been trying to walk mine in areas he won't mark as I hate not rewarding a mark at this stage with a bolt. Been messing around any bushes with a net and to keep the dog occupied. Take him fishing and down the allotment and training little bits. Just took him for a few miles on the bike. Been doing a bit of pigeon shooting with him as well but now every time he sees a pigeon he thinks we need to do some thing
  10. Just had a look and this one is the simplest to follow, looks good. http://bluewisteria.co.uk/tools/compost.php TC Perfect just the ticket
  11. excuse my ignorance did the xray show the rupture ? only reason I ask is when mine did some thing to his and the vet couldn't say what really xray showed nothing. He was lead bound for months and it affected him for ages but now over a year later he seems %100 for the time being anyway
  12. Roll on the winter king different dogs when they are focused on the job in hand and just knackered after a hard night
  13. Yes cracking weather unfortunately work all day then busy this evening with the dog so it will be tomorrow for me for a plot visit. Got a couple of 1 ton builders bags. I read some where about chucking your weeds and compost stuff in them whack a couple of squash on top then when they are done a bit of winter veg. Then cover for a month or two and you got nice compost. In reality sure I will end up with a 1 ton bag full of stingers and other weeds
  14. lol nah I all ways look grumpy lol collie/grey bull/grey his bright sensitive but very driven and keep me on me toes
  15. yes sounds very familiar lol I often wonder whos working who mind you I was on the way to throw him in the hedge
  16. They seem to have there moments just got too persist and they come good in the end. I refuse to just leave my dog where his at I constantly want to improve on him and I enjoy it too. Mine still now and again tries it on but i bring him back in to line the little sod lol

  24. My old JR in my younger days on the final trip to the vet he was on the passenger seat and I leaned across to cheer him up and he gave me a big smacker on the cheek and a head butt lol that was his thing. After the deed was done I drove round our old haunts taking in the memories. I still go to them places now and the memories come back
