  1. Might try a saluki/grey for my next runner. Much further down the line tho' (too many potlickers at present).
  2. Losing weight now - tired of using a boomerang to put my belt on.

  3. Yeah 'the tattoo will go eventually'! Pmsl. Give it 60 years or more lol! Crappy tattoo as well.
  4. Do we know why yet? I like this forum and don't want to risk getting banned myself! It'll be too much like PW if people just disappear and we never find out why. D.
  5. There's no law against lamping foxes, just hunting them with dogs (other than digging them with terriers, afaik)

    Wales

God I love west wales! Incredibly nice folk I've met there, great scenery, outstanding biking roads too. Aberdovey truly is the welsh riviera (spoilt only by too many grockles). Lets hope it all stays unspoiled.
  7. Lambing time is dictated by humans not the seasons...Ewes can concieve any time, it is up to the farmer when he puts the tups to them Thanks Moll - you learn something new every day! I assumed they'd be like dogs (ie coming into season periodically).
  8. Hi folks, so it looks like a referendum is on the cards for scottish independence. Strange really as the poll results i've heard indicate that only 1/3 of scots actually want independence. So why do some scots want to be a separate country? N Sea Gas all used up, so no revenue (that used to be a reason). Answers from scots please!!! Is Wales next? ATB current UK compatriots Duncan.
  9. Yep, somewhere near J14 of the M1 - doesn't get more central (nothing to do with the fact its only 4 miles from my house lol)
  10. Mines just a 4.5m x 2.5m. Big enough and the cover is £50 approx. Nice looking plot you got there mate I'm looking to get plenty of sweetcorn, leeks, carrots and pumpkins in my veg garden this year and the usual toms, chillis and bell peppers in the rejuvenated poly. Love hunting for the meat course, but I confess I do get a buzz from mega fresh veg I've grown myself too.
  11. Saw a neighbours dog get distemper. Not for mine thanks.
  12. One of our cats came in with some terrible fight wounds. I said odds on it was a fox, she's quite happy for me to hunt foxes now To be fair though, she's used to me hunting edible quarry and loves my game cooking, but til recently was anti me killing foxes. Funny how perceptions can change.
  13. Foglights when its not foggy? Retards!

    1. paulus

      paulus

ice cream when its not icy...lol

  14. So catchers getting the first round in?
  15. I don't really reckon so - people tend to be a lot more civilised face to face. At the end of a computer things are easier to say and feel brave about, but face to face there's an immediate possible consequence for out and out rudeness. That's the difference between car drivers and pedestrians too, if you think about it. I'm all up for a meet somewhere and if there's a rotation of THL members to watch over cars, or secure parking , then we should be able to handle the anti's. At the end of the day, people on here have disagreements, but there are more good folk on here than bad and nobo
  16. Well 223, I'm now ina similar boat. The skin of my polytunnel is totalled. Fortunately, the frame has survived so I can just get a new cover. Pain in the arse tho!
  17. Yep, I'll let you shoot near Durham too. Go for your life mate and good luck
  18. Hi all, having seen a thread on the lurcher section, I'm looking to have a go with my own catapult but could do with some advice when it comes to ammo - ie what size shot should I use? Seen 6, 9 and 12mm on ebay. Any suggestions from keen catapult enthusiasts gratefully received! Cheers all
  19. Crikey! Normally my neighbouring farm doesn't have any lambs til march. I notice the woodpigeons nesting round here too.
  20. Every year without fail they get their boosters - aint risking parvo, distemper, leptospirosis or any other of the fatal nasties out there. Call me soft, but I love my dogs too much I guess. Couldn't live with myself if one of my pack died horribly for the sake of a few quid.
  21. I was thinking of going down the same route JB. My pup is only 3 months old, but I'd like to take her to watch other lurchers in action sooner rather than later.
