  2. Could stick them on a coach ! lol Nearly choked on beer
  3. Had a Ridgeback a few years ago that was born without a ridge. Awesome dog in every aspect and truly broke my heart when she had to be pts at 2 yo; her whole abdomen was riddled with tumours. Broke my heart.
  4. shawaddy waddy and the sweet , slade eh bosun Cliff Richard? Has he got a Binotone games console Lee? Tennis, Football (same as tennis but with 2 bats instead of 1!). Great at the time but crap now ATB Duncan
  5. For all I own a couple of ped ridgebacks I also have a lurcher (3/8 bull, 1/2 grey, 1/8 whip) and its clear, even at 15 weeks old that she will outclass the big guys on pace. And tbh I suspect there are better mixes for rabbit etc coursing. I'd be delighted to be proved wrong PS Ridgebacks were never meant to kill Lions; only track and bay them Dan.
  6. I wouldn't rush into replacing your old friend immediately. I feel that if you take this time to recover from your loss and have a chance to take stock of what you want from your dog, you'll come to a more balanced decision. A lesson I've learned over the years is that you never actually 'replace' a dog truly. Call me soft, but I still miss every dog I've ever had when I think about them. All the very best, Duncan.
  7. Good luck mate, and welcome aboard! Duncan
  8. 15 week old bull x pup already out-accelerates the Ridgebacks!

Wait until it's old enough to really pin it's ears back and go for it! :D

  12. Used to be heavily into martial arts, weights and trying to be invincible lol! Your childhood casts a long shadow. Now field sports, shooting rifles and guns, training the new hunting/working pup and looking after the rest of the pack takes up most of my time. Getting into tanning the fur I get as a bi-product of hunting is something I'm getting into now, partly due to new pup and making training dummies/balls for her. Still love muscle bikes but they have taken a proper back seat for the moment.
  13. In the best spirit of panto, 'oh yes it does' Checked my facts
  14. Keep em both is my vote, along with many others.
  15. I'm confident in hitting a pound coin sized target out to say 75 yards and would bet £500 of my own money on that. So up to that range I'd happily head-shoot a fox with my hmr and know it won't twitch, get wounded or run. I've no doubt that the hummer isn't the ideal tool for the job, that's a .22cf or .243 job for much longer, reliable killing ranges.
  16. I told my wife I fancied a little pussy. She said "so do I, mines as big as a house!"
