    Good info lads.just out of interest how much work do you lads like to give them in there first full season? Just a hand full of digs and get some wins under there belt and then up there work load in there second season, be interesting to see how other lads do it.

    Grandparents on both sides was into the dogs and my dad and mum are, i never had a chance lol

    Might sound a daft question but do you guys do your ratting by night? Only reason i ask is i have only ever done it during the day, but it would make sense as the rats will be more active at night

    agreed I disagree, dog men should educate themselves on the legalities of the use of antibiotics, if I can save one lad the hassle of a court appearance and the confiscation of his dogs then it's worth saying. i didn't look at it that way, good point

    was a cracker of a show first time i have been down will be deffo be going down again

    its that time of year again, mid lancs fell and moorland wtc are holding there annual summer show on sunday 5th of june, but due to unforeseen circumstances the venue where we normally hold our show (the summit inn) is no longer available to us, it is now going to be held at the moorcock inn halifax road blackstone edge littleborough OL15 0LD all the usual lurcher and terrier classes apply and judging at 1pm come show your support for the fell and moorland in its 50th year. there will also be some 50th anniversary glass tankers for sale on the day hope to see you all there

    Can you honestly see anyone getting stopped walking a dog down the road bosun.You sound paranoid mate. Nope, not me Kingy but they are stopping people now. How about the lads who were prosecuted last year, here by me, walking to Altcar estate with lurchers. As they had previous they lobbed a charge of intent on it and it stuck... Look, the bottom line is that it can be used against you, if they want to use it. I'd just rather look at all the angles before i made a decision. its just a easy way to pull dog lads over and a reason to get in the boot and have a look at the dogs,

    if you dont have them chipped all you are doing is opening the door for more questions to be asked and more reason for them to look at your dog again when you have to take it to there vets to be chipped, let them scan the chip and be on there way

    its not nice bud but its what you have to do to keep permo we have not really stopped due to call outs, i have a few sheep on myself this this year and it really makes you look at things differently when you look at things thought the farmers eyes. but like you say pal its not a nice task

    sounds a good idea to me, even if they do answer and say no give them one you never know they might change there mind later

    i dont shoot but if i did i would like to always walk over and have a look at the fox see if it was a dog or vixen and what condition it was in and then drop them at the farmers to keep them on the good side, lads around here just blast them and dont even take a walk over to them, each to there own i guess
