  1. Lol my sides were hurting today on our adventure. If I'm your daveyT can we go to a barn and let rub chocolate spread on your cracks like they did? Can you whisper calibers and reticules in my ear to send me to sleep? I like having further a doo before the action, don't rob me! Blue on blue noshoff! Cracking day gromit for a shoot! this is great and even funnier that Si and Davey are just choosing to ignore it! "Whisper calibres and reticules in my ear.."
  2. Davey, looks like you're wearing a lampshade at 23:30! Great video lads, how much are the small paunching knives; think I'll have one of those? ATB
  3. Excellent, I'll do just as you say. I'll post up some pictures of the targets tomorrow and map the trajectory the 'pianoman way' Thanks again
  4. Cheers Simon/Skot, just nipped out to the shed, there is a small sticker - looks like 5.53 so I must have missed it when I last checked. They're the new tin style. Oddly enough I personally found the old style tins better quality and a few other people agreed when I noticed the change in January 2011: http://weihrauchowners.freeforums.org/h-n-ftt-new-tins-accuracy-issue-t6777.html I'm up early tomorrow and out with the 77 whilst the weather is fine (forecast is cold and blue skies). I've got some JSB Exact Express 14.35g, Rangemaster Li's 14.3g, AA Field 16g and H&N FTT 14.66g. I fanc
  5. Anyone know where I can get some of the 5.53 variants? I've got a tin of FTT in the shed but my HW77K doesn't seem to get on with them. This particular tin doen't detail head size. I'd like to give the 5.53's a try as pianoman seems to reccomend them for the HW77
  6. Squirrel's definately not, woodpigeon yes
  7. Not exactly useless as they still hold the scope in place ! I think what the op is worried about is a subject thats been mentioned on other forums regarding flexing of the HW100 block due to it being a 2 piece design held together by bolts at the bottom of the block. Apparently all us HW100 owners should be using a 1 piece mount in order to clamp the action tight together or we run the risk of losing the zero on the rifle ????? Appletree Don't worry yourself about it mate just ensure the 2 bolts are done up tight and buy yourself some quality mounts that suit the height of your objec
  8. Tony have you got a link for this on ebay? Is it a rifle mounted set up with pressure switch? Wouldn't mind one myself Thanks
  9. You'd think so wouldn't you but this is what I picked up this morning for the zeroing session And this is why: 40m group. Old target, highest shot already there. Moved Zero down from 25m - 23m. 8 shots
  10. Yes mine too, half tempted to sell it to be honest but maybe a shooting session will remind me why its top of the PCP's
  11. Yes Dave did the work it was his Full Monty for £130. Best to give him a call, he'll explain what's involved: 07411429307
  12. May be lamping on the golf course tomorrow night but which rifle do I take? I'll be honest the HW100KT hasn't had a look in since I got my HW77K back from Dave Hall, it seems too much of a faff but the multi shot system and bipod is very handy at night. I'll have to make my mind up by tomorrow morning because I'll be zeroing and calibrating on the perm first thing. Which would you take?
  13. I think there's plenty of choice now, especially with mail order. Can't see me dropping to .177 but .20 is tempting
  14. Scott's quite right, its a 1985 HW77K I've been thinking of a 95 or 98 in .20 recently

  16. Yeah would be interesting, where do you live Steve it doesn't show on my mobile version of THL? ATB
  17. Looks like a proper job. I'd probably be tempted to leave the stock. Wish I'd kept my old 2 shot brummy raider
  18. Hi Si, I've heard they're just an HW95K with a barrel shroud and adjustable stock. The shroud makes them quite a bit heavier. Jim Tyler has an article about this in October's AGW. He comments that many people put their HW95 into a HW98 adjustable stock to get a good fit in the shoulder without the additional weight of the shroud. I do quite like the bull barrel look myself though. Hope you're well mate
  19. Still loving the HW77K. Went out this morning after going cold turkey with shooting. Not good. Rabbits have all but disappeared so had a little plink instead:
  20. Cheers lads, might look out for a cheap SR12 and give it a shot
  21. Hi Daz, had one on the HW100 but the posts were too thick and the reticule too cluttered for the type of shooting I was doing so I traded it for a Nite Eye Digi.
