  1. Keep em coming, I could be persuaded down the .22LR route
  2. That says a lot Paul. I dont do much lamping at all to be honest. I find the long range accuracy of the .17 appealing but the ruggedness of a semi auto appealing too
  3. Have a guess Paul .17HMR and .22LR I'm really torn between the two and can only afford one. I need some pros and cons..
  4. FAC Application submitted a couple of months ago. FEO wants to arrange a visit next week, bought a 6 rifle, extra deep gun safe with top lock this afternoon, HW100KT up for sale in the sales section.. I just don't know whether I want a .22 or .17HMR?!.. Advice please!
  5. Sorted now, just bought a new one. Not many about on the secondhand market
  6. Interesting, I'll look forward to your uploads with the HW100. You may even convince me not to sell! Good luck with the challeng. If you prefer air power to powder burner go the springer route for even more of a challenge.. I think you have a ' don't you?
  7. You might be right mate and you have a very valid point. I have been through all this for many a year with the rimfire moderators. They all said the next silencer was better than the other and like you I had my opinion and sort of stuck by it and personally I always did well at what I did ( rabbit control using the .22 CZ452 ) and never fell into the trap of "the more you spend the better it is". I am now making the move after years of using a rimfire to begin with a sub 12ft/lb .177 and I believe I will be able to do the job just as good, Well that's my objective so once I get going I sh
  8. You're right Steve but the .17HMR that I buy with the funds will help me get over it and if I need sub 12ft/lb the HW77K will have an outing
  9. Another trip to A&M might be on the cards Steve for an additional grup screw to be addes. Are you sure Darryl didn't spin it round while you weren't looking?!.. I'm sure he's on commission Its never happened to me pal but I'm sure it'll be very cheap to sort
  10. I will be honest mate I have not tried it at distance only at close range through a chrono ( In Daryl's house ) and at that time the Twink MKII sounded better to me. I will post again once this snow goes and I can get out in the fields. Thanks mate Steve No worries Steve, I'm sure its a good bit of kit. If I wasn't selling my HW100KT I'd be tempted by the A&M cylinder
  11. Hope you dont mind me jumping in on your thread but I am also looking for the same but around the Berkshire area! Good luck!
  12. Nice write up, I'm glad you're happy but the question is, can you tell the difference in sound 30 yards away? ATB
  13. 'HLF' Hunting Life Forum. PM Marksman on here. Outline your requirements and he'll either be able to help you directly or put you onto A&M Gunsmiths.. I think he's Gary's brother too! Good luck
  14. I'm sure Gary, or Festa on HLF, fitted a HW100 cylinder to his S200 to increase shot count. If you are able to uprate your S200 to FAC and shot count is the only issue I'm sure a Venom or A&M Cylinder would solve this for you. Best speak to Marksman on HLF or A&M directly, I'm sure they'll sort you out. I bet A&M could even do the work for you Here's Gary's video:
  15. Extra Deep for scoped rifles with internal top lock for ammunition. Must be police approved for FAC rifles. I'm based in Lancaster, Lancashire.
  16. Nice little scope you've got there, should be ideal for shooting squirrels in a wooded area - low mag and wide field of view. Just looks like its mounted too far forward, unless the eye relief if quite large on those little simmons
  17. For sale my HW100KT in .22 - rifle only - in lovely original tiger striped walnut stock. Never thought I'd sell this rifle but I'm planning on getting my FAC this year and need the funds to purchase a .17HMR I've had the rifle since new and bought it around three years ago from my local gunshop, Stephen J Fawcett's for £720. The rifle has been very well looked after and like all my equipment has been wiped down with Balistol oil after every outing, I'm a bit OCD when it comes to looking after my gear and this rifle reflects that. There are some very small marks on the tip of the silencer a
  18. I have one for sale. 22 HW100KT, £550
  19. Malmo and Fawcetts near me, both decent places
  20. In terms of retained energy, I'm led to believe the larger calibers are more efficient. Is this correct? How much stored energy in ft/lb would a .25 have compared to a .177 at a range of 50m?
  21. Thanks Elliott pal. No we have ordered 6 brand spanking rifles from Tony Wall, 3 of them are getting a new special procedure and tune that Tony Wall as just invented, and we (me and Davy) are getting the first 3 rifles with it done. The other 3 rifles (1 of them the Pro Sport and the other Laura's new Ultra) don't need tuning. The last rifle is a .22 calibre HW100 KT so that dont need tuning either. Full reviews will follow later in the next few months. Si. Sounds fantastic! My .22 HW100KT is still for sale too Can't wait to see what's coming. ATB

  23. Good on you Si, you enjoy it. The walnut Pro Sport imo is the finest looking air rifle out there. When I can afford one I'd love to add one to my collection. Think I'd give .177 a whirl too to see what all the fuss ia about. Look forward to reading and watching the videos I take it tuning won't be necessery?
  24. What a great story, good on you. If there were more people like you the world would be a better place. Well done
