  1. Nice write up Mawders, I also like FAP pellets but have found they can be affected quite badly by the wind. On a calm day however you would struggle to beat them. Made by JSB and also branded JSB RS I've been pestering VerminhuntersTV to do a pellet prep video for those of us who are intrigued by such things
  2. Well just got back in and didn't manage to bag anything. The problem with golf courses are that you've to be off as soon as the first golfers arrive. I arrived at 7.30am and the golfers came on at 8.15am! Never mind, this little rascal kept me entertained whilst I was in the hide and made the trip worthwhile. Those of you who enjoy the whole experience of being out and around nature will understand what I mean. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_shrew
  3. What a great clip Si, I've been looking forward to that one since you said you were going to film it. We want more clips with Simon in, get out in the field lads and knock over some bunnies with the famous FAC '! Keep up the good work, you are all great ambassodors for the sport
  4. Weather looks promising tomorrow so I think I'll have a nip out to the squirrel feeder early doors and see if I can nab one with the HW77K. Last outing with the HW100 drew a blank. I think mainly because when I arrived the feeder had fallen on the floor and was empty. Lets hope tomorrow is more successful. I'll top up the feeder in the morning and let you know how I get on.. Edited to say: Thats if I sleep well enough after worrying about Kate Middleton's morning sickness (zzzz...who gives a shit?! )
  5. Agree with Mawders here 100% I like watching this guys videos, they're very well put together
  6. Very good read and a compelling argument. I think my next air rifle will be a .20, perhaps a SFS tuned 95K if I can get one
  7. Nice shot on the ratty! Evrn better if you've been after the little bugger for so long. The Ultra sounds like a good bit of kit, have you any photos?
  8. How are you grouping with the Li's? My HW100KT loves them. Its not so much about power output, more consistancy. If you're rifle groups within half an inch at your usual hunting ranges and its producing over 10.5ft/lb look no further. Check out my YouTube channel to see my rifle group with them pellet on pellet
  9. I've had great success with a little owl decoy around nesting time
  10. Dropped that very well, it was like it had been hit with a sledgehammer
  11. I'm on the look out for a 3-4 gun safe deep enough for scope mounted rifles with seperate top for amminition. Has to be British Standard as its for my pending FAC. Anyone know any reasonably priced shops / online retailers? Thanks
  12. Bump! See videos of this rifle being used on my YouTube channel in my signature
  13. Thanks mate. I will Daz courtesy of Elliott who's kindly sending me some to test. I'm delighted with the performance of Bisley Magnums with this 97KT. On a windless day I'll test all these pellets out to 60 metres and see how well they fly over that distance. Take care mate. Simon Aye, they are 14.3grain .22 cal mind  Should be there by now though
  14. Simon, if you do decide you prefer the sporter stock I have my HW77K's stock kicking about in the back of the shed that you can have for nowt if you're willing to pay the postage? It was a bit rough when I got it so I sanded it down and had is stained. Turned out darker than expected but its still a half decent stock http://i863.photobucket.com/albums/ab192/elliott_g/IMG00160-20101016-1240.jpg http://i863.photobucket.com/albums/ab192/elliott_g/FinishedHW77KStock.jpg ATB
  15. Nice one pal, good to read a write up from you. Can't believe you've nailed two more squizzers, we should start selling them! Great shooting. Glad you've found the perfect pellet for your barrel, looking forward to Sunday.
  16. Awesome Si, you and Davey are a fair old team when it comes to vermin control. I have a farm directly behind my dividing wall. Its full of cattle sheds, food hoppers and slurry stores and plagued with Jackdaws (and I bet lots of rats). I've witnessed in excess of 60 Jackdaws in the feed troughs. The farmer also has 150 acres of land and one of my goals is to secure permission on there. I'd be out of my back gate and onto the farm within 40 strides! ATB
  17. Defo, could have stayed on all morning Could be a decent way to spend a Sunday. Looking forward to next week, I'm kind of hopeful I still have the HW100KT
  18. Cheers Mike, I got the back legs off one but gave up on the other. What a bar steward to skin they really are. Any tips on skinning or cooking? Brute strength! Phantom says they're easier cold and I think he's right, but i do em warm as I like my meat super fresh. Same procedure as rabbit really. Phantom seems a knowlegeble chap but I think I'll have a go when they're warm next time
  19. Great news Simon, I'm glad you're happy with it. Shame you can't upload photos. If you don't mind me asking why will you be sending it to Andy before SFS (no disrespect to Andy by the way, just curious). Bisley Magnum too, my word, quite suprised at that as I'm sure you were. Incidentally, did you recieve the batch of .22 Daystate Li's I posted out? Best Regards
  20. You should have seen the sack on 'Brutus'! My word, he had nuts that any man would have been envious of! Best comment of the morning was when that bloody big crow landed 15 yards in front of us when the squirrels arrived and I was undecided which to take, "I haven't been filling that feeder every night for you to shoot fu**ing crows!"
