  1. SFS sound like they've got a good turnaround at a reasonable price. Based on Si's rifle I wouldn't hesitate to go with them
  2. Nice write up Stu a good little bag there. The HW80 looks in very good nick, lovely rifle
  3. Don't Mawders, I'll end up buying one..
  4. Thanks Simon, really enjoying the HW77K. The scope's a Jap Hawke Frontier 3-9x40. I didn't want anything too heavy and I used to consider that magnification range to be sufficient for a springer, but with the long range targets I've been experimenting with I'm thinking I should have gone for a Panorama EV like Si's
  5. Best video yet that one Si! Thanks for the mention and noted the H&N pellets, will give those a try. Incredible marksmanship skills, don't think I could match that if I wanted to Well done mate
  6. That sounds great Simon, it would be a pleasure and I'm sure I'd learn a lot from you. Let me know the next time you're in Yorkshire and I'll try and bob over the border ATB
  7. Cheers Skot, I don't mind with the HW77K, its a pure working rifle... that gets a good wipe down after every use
  8. Cheers lads, was an unexpected duo Looking forward to seeing the new AA S410 soon Darren. Was well happy with the standing shot, like I said the other night its my worst shooting position Edit: Just noted what looks like the pellet hole through the leaf in the 5th photo!
  9. Hi lads, just out with the HW77K and within 10 mins of landing on the permission I've bagged two rabbits before the thunder and lightening rolled in and the heavens opened. I'm currently sheltering under a lean-to listening to the rain bounce off the plastic roof Only came up to finish the damn review of the 77! Anyway, shot the first rabbit as soon as I stepped foot in the field. An easy 16m headshot taken from the kneeling position. Turned out to be a half grown mixi rabbit. Second, and far more impressive shot was taken at 22m from an unexpected standing posit
  10. That sounds great Simon, what a beast of a rifle. I've heard the HW80 is good in FAC. If I ever get chance to come to a meet I will do, unfortunately nobody seems to live up here near me! ATB
  11. Was offered the chance to go lamping with darrenb47 who I share my new permission with. Never one to miss an opportunity I took it up. Our 2 1/2 hour wander involved Darren showing me the ropes on the course. Everywhere he said there would be rabbits there were, Darren clearly knows the permission like the back of his hand. The lamping session was eventually cut short when charlie turned up, after that we didn't see a single rabbit.. It was my first lamping session with an air rifle and I decided to take the .22 HW100KT purely due to its lighter weight and magazine. Darren was kind eno
  12. Nice shooting. Like Stuart I hope your sister gets better. Well done Si and Davy on helping out a fellow shooter. It just goes to show what a great forum this is and that there are still good people out there willing to lend a hand
  13. Wow, sounds very impressive Simon. Would love to see that. What ft/lb is it kicking out? I take it its .22?
  14. Nice. Its about time the HW77 was given a higher cheekpiece. I bet it will make the decision of HW97 v HW77 even more difficult for those looking to buy
  15. Nice shooting as usual Si, Tony has clearly done a remarkable job on your 97K. I bet you're pleased as punch. It seemed to hammer those woodies too! Milegajo, I'm on whatsapp, its the best app on android in my opinion
  16. Well done, that sounds a bit of a trek to me! Only joking, its great isn't it? Now get out and enjoy it!
  17. Oh well Hope you start to upload some hunting vids, I've had a go with my Seben mount and digital camera and haven't found it very easy
  18. Nice one Mike, think I'll have a go at that with the HW77K. Also just watched the video of your visit to the police station too, he he. Did you ever get a response in writing? Surely they must have to if formally requested? I work for a Local Authority and do it all the time ATB
  19. Nice one lads, I've done that a few times with the HW100 and its a great feeling. I hear a lot that AA PCP's are very accurate and this goes to prove it. One of my favorite tricks with the HW100 is to shoot a .22 pellet inside an empty .22lr case at 25m
  20. You're not wrong Mike, although some of the HW toffs would say that the older pre 1987 (may be slightly out on the year) 25mm piston HW77 has the edge over the 26mm HW97K.. I'm happy with my PCP/Springer combo anyway!
  21. Looking good Mike, not a bad little group for home made pellets. Looks like you're mastering the technique. Oh and well done on the purchase of the 97K, you must be flush at the minute, you're even using pound coins as size comparisons for your groups.. You want to be careful you din't end up with a nickname like Flash Harry
  22. If mornings then Saturday's would be best due to work. Its easier in evenings for me at the moment. I parked close to the barrier leading to the greenkeeper's depot. It was locked when I arrived so I couldn't get down. Are you pretty local too?
  23. Bloody hell Darren that sounds like a good bit of shooting! Don't think I've ever shot that many in one morning. Saying that I've never had a permission as vast and probably with as many rabbits. Looking forward to you showing me the ropes
