  1. I witnessed this 8 years ago when I stayed over there for 12 months. Children wore the Hare's like a rucksack with their front and back legs tied together and ran an obstacle course. Some of the children were damn near the same size as the hare! There were trailers full of dead animals ranging from possums, birds and hogs with prizes for those who had killed the most. Also on display were what the New Zealander's called "Pig Dogs" which looked like caged wild dogs bred for taking down and killing wild boar. Hellish looking dogs that you wouldn't like to let out of their cages! Must
  2. Eley perform well in my CZ452 right out to 135 yardsbwhich is the furthest I've tested them
  3. I get £2 each full dressed but sell directly to a cafe
  4. Nice shooting. Really rate my T20 for my rimfires. Don't need any more shine than 250-300 yards for .22LR or HMR!
  5. Probably the same stuff Dan but with different coloured tips
  6. No rear bag, just using my hand. Think I'll invest in a cheek comb raiser to help with scope alignment. The stock on my CZ doesn't really promote a good head position, perhaps that's what it could have been
  7. Honestly I'm not sure what caused it. I'm sure I maintained the correct hold over but it is easily done. More experimentation required I think but I am really impressed with the CZ452 and Eley combo at the moment and I'm happy I spent the £150 on the rifle
  8. Any ideas as to what could be causing this? Two really good groups at 135 yards considering it's a little .22LR Testing the CZ452 at 135 Yards:
  9. What do you think, is it too much of ask of the .22LR? I'd heard a few claims of the .22LR being capable of one inch groups at 100 yards but having owned a CZ452 for a few weeks I thought these claims were exaggerated. Nonetheless when I next visited my local gun shop I bought a range of ammo to trial to see if the little .22LR was indeed capable of such accuracy
  10. I bought a secondhand CZ452 American for £150 a couple of months ago. Nice bit of kit
  11. What ammo you using in the Annie Cedric? I did some ammo testing on film yesterday with my CZ452 .22LR and found Eley Subs to perform the best out of my selection which included; Remington, RWS, Winchester and of course Eley. The Eley put 4 shots in a group smaller than a £1 coin at 100 yards and that was in an 8mph wind. To say I was impressed is an understatement
  12. Comparable or appropriate? Comparable; i.e. similar
  13. The reason for making the video is that I started a thread on the BBS about my preference for the HMR over the .22LR. One comment was, "Having double the power of a .22LR doesn't necessarily mean you have twice the range." I find that, in comparable conditions, it does just that
  14. Hornady claim the HMR is capable of shooting vermin out to 200 yards.. What do you guys think? I tried some shots on paper at 200 yards to see how they grouped
  15. There's no doubt the HMR is an accurate little tool. I've only ever shot a couple of foxes with mine, funnily enough they were both shot within 20 mins of one another on the golf course. The furthest one was yards. I went for head shots and it dropped them on the spot without so much of a twitch. I do love my 1517, they are such accurate little tools. I've just uploaded a video I filmed on Bank Holiday Monday where I shot a group at 100 yards inside a 5 pence piece.
  16. Nice shooting, the stock reminds me of the one I had on my HW100KT. Lovely dark colour that looks great with a few coats of tru-oil Looks like you shot a couple of Rooks there too
  17. Lovely pair you have there risingfriend Love the 97' and the Panther looks the business too
  18. Enjoying both my rimfires Rez but I wouldn't discount the Weihrauch HW60J. Comes in .22LR and .17 HMR. Lovely rifles with amazing triggers - better than my standard Anschutz trigger. To me triggers make a massive difference, especially when you're trying to shoot the nuts off a knat at 100 yards
  19. I can't comment in the T-Bolt but I have a 1517 in .17 HMR and it's a great rifle. Sounds like you've chosen two good ones
  20. I use these when it's cold: http://www.countryinnovation.com/gloves/country-innovation-gloves/knitted-mitts.html
  21. Out of the two I'd probably go for a HW100
  22. Or those who have Daystates, I believe they are of the pink marigold variety
