  1. there is more of a chance that a deer dog will take sheep on the odd occasion.
  2. a month will fly by mate. he will be back in action before you know it.
  3. i use a thick lead which goes over my shoulders i can get 22 rabbits on my lead then i have to carry them in my hand on the odd occasion until i get to a drop off point. i always gut my rabbits as i go along in the field so it makes the load alot lighter and easier to carry. fences are not really a problem when fully loaded up as i just drop them over in front of me then climb over myself only when fully loaded up. some nights when there's not much about 2 rabbits can seem heavy. on real busy nights when catching big bags i find you dont think about how much game you are carrying as you a

  10. i wouldnt worry to much about it at the moement mate, she could just be having a off night and not just that you cant always tell for sure whats going on in the beam. how many times have you seen dogs catch quarry that you thought they had no chance what so ever to catch but you have run it because there hasnt been much about, then on the other hand how many times have you seen quarry escape a dog that you would have put money on it being caught.

  18. i cant speak for buddy as i havent seen the dog run but i dont doubt the dog at all. as for the malamute/greys ive seen them doing the job first hand and have worked them myself on the lamp on a good few occasions and believe they have some decent qualities about them and can do the biz..
  19. it will certainly be interesting to see how the litter turn out, i would have tried a pup myself and tested it to the max if i hadnt allready got got a new pup in.
  20. had a walk out with bird bryn and Todd wednesday night i also took my pup along with us for a run. we had a few runs for the dogs and done farely well, and the night was ok considering there was two of us and three dogs. we took it turns with the dogs and run them individualy. we finished the night with 18 in the bag and all the dogs caught a few rabbits each. i think bird was pleased with the night as Todd managed 6 rabbits and done his first retrieve which was followed by a second retrieve. Todd also took a rabbit out of the seat. all in all it was a enjoyable night and good to see some
