  1. ive never had anything to do with pure airedale's but have worked the first cross airedale/greyhond. the only thing i could really say for her was she had a good nose and that's about it, but ive only seen and worked one. edited to say it was a greyhound dog over a airedale bitch.

  5. started taking him out at 7 and a half weeks watching and learning. That early stuff has obviously ruined him,like most said it would. As for the malamute blood- makes him even worse eh? Nice strong pup trigger,doing you proud. cannot deny that at under 8 mths he seems to be flying, BUT at 8mths i would be selecting my pups slips and limiting its runs to 3 max a night, and gradually build that up to full nights lamping and taking it out at 7 1/2 weeks to watch? what sort of distance are you making it walk? cant be good for its bones or joints if you ask me, could cause

  7. ive seen some funny looking dogs do very well in the field i wouldnt get rid of a dog on looks alone.

  13. theres only one thing thats f*****g the hare population up and thats the same thing thats f*****g the deer and fox population up, GUNS. i remember when the ban came in and hunting with dogs changed to rats and rabbits the local butchers and game dealers had more head shot hares in them than i can ever remember seeing.
  14. i like to try and keep the dogs somewhere near as you never know when you might just get the perfect conditions and the oppertunity to catch a decent bag. the weather was looking good early on in the night but went dead still and clear when i left the house i was going to try for his first 20 rabbits but the weather let me down.

  16. i had been sat in the house all evening looking forward to leaving the house for a few hours lamping with the pup. when the time come for me to leave the house to go and lamp a few rabbits i opened the door to leave the house and much to my disapointment the wind had stopped along with the rain, i eventually got to my destination and started my lamping session as the night went on the cloud cleared and the moon came out making the night crap and hard work for the pup as hes only 7 and 3/4 months old. all in all i was pleased with the outcome of the night the pup managed to get another 9 ra
