    i always choose the smallest warrens i can for the first few outings with my young ferrets then gradually put them in bigger and bigger warrens as the season goes on. i like to try and treat a young ferret like a young dog make life as easy as possible when starting them off. it also helps to have a good marking dog so as you know theres a rabbit in warren almost every time, then you know if the ferrets doing his/her job.

    i dont understand how you can say that rabbits are not a test for a dog. if you go out and catch decent or large bags regular with a dog doesnt that test it both mentally and physically?

    yes mate,,, then whatever it was from yours to mine bloody hell. i took a wrong turn on my way home which made my overall traveling to just over 500 miles. well worth it though.

    i feed my dogs cooked rabbit, raw venison and dried food. ive found that if my dogs are worked and run hard on dry food alone that they dont seem to posses the same amount of stamina on hard nights.

    had a visit from vin again tonight he arrived on time as usall, i was keen to get out as the conditions were very good and i new where there was a good few rabbits to go at. i was hoping to get a decent bag tonight but it wasnt to be. i ran my pup again and vin ran his bitch mollie. we got to the spot i had decided to lamp and set off across a planted field where we came into our first pocket of rabbits which were bloody lamp shy to say the least, i ran my pup first who had a farely decent start to the night. although the weather was good the dogs had to work hard for there rabbits as the

    somvin youve got your opinion but when john sits in my house bigging himself up that hes f--ked up your dog and ort dog in my eyes thats no mate john being the experienced dog man that he is he should of seen all the signs of a tired dog thats not fit im not haveing ago at you or your dog but but im sick to death of all the bulls--t that comes out of his mouth we all want our dogs to be the best but in my eyes trying to run other peoples dogs into the ground to make his look good is not good sportsmanship and as for johns dog trigger no he isnt a good dog theres better in my eyes a good dog

    your source malc1. right john lets get it right you was going to sell your dog trigger befor you even knew you were ill because he wasnt good enough lets get it all out he wont take charlies on his own he wont take siters he wont he wont take bigstuff preban of course unless they are against a fence he waits out in the field while other dogs do the work and push the rabbits to him and i dont go out trying to f--k other peoples dogs up then coming round my house bragging that youve f--ked up his dog ie vin and ort and you tried to do my dog the night my dog pulled up with a bad leg all i go
