  1. ive seen 18 and 19 inch beddy/whippets do some pretty amazing stuff in the field. great little dogs seen them take fox single handed on more than 1 occasion.
  2. how olds the pup? he should grow out of it. my pups just under 3 1/2 months he does the same when i give a rabbit head complete with all the skin to play with. i wouldnt worry about it to much ive been releasing live rabbits for him on the lamp which i have taken off the big dog. he treats a live rabbit different when he catches it he mouths it a bit on the floor, then he will bring most of them back to me. atb trigger
  3. just out of interest what height is the pup.
  4. a good diet work work and more work. i also take the dogs with me when i go running. ive never given any of my dogs road work as i always keep them fit by being out in the field.
  5. i dont know mate i always use a shop local to me.
  6. what size bulb will you useing mate. my battery is 14 amp hour but i only use a 30 watt bulb, it hasnt gone flat on me yet. having said that ive only been out long enough to carch 36 rabbits which as been my best night out with the battery so far and it was still fine.
  7. i always used the belt packs up until the middle of last season. the only problem i found is after a bit of use the connectors from the batteries to the lamp came apart easy (nothing a bit of tape couldnt sort out) i brought a lithium battery middle of last season and also had problems with the connector on the battery. (again nothing a bit of tape couldnt sort out) after using the lithium baterry i wouldnt use any other now.

  9. i use a 14amp lithium battery with the lightforce lance and 30watt bulb. i also have the striker reflector housing that i put on my lamp when the moons up or on its way up. i always use a 30watt bulb
  10. how come you brought that? whats happened to the pup youve been bringing on.
  11. anyone would think shooters are whiter than white. theres one thing for sure shooters are far from innocent.
  12. as i am mainly a lamper i feed a handful of food when i get in from a nights lamping then i feed one main meal at midday.
  13. your answer is about 6 or 7 posts above this one mate.
  14. Not just that it is disrespectful to other genuine running dog owners. Less rabbits for winter= less genuine sport, less pheasants=hassle from people who run shoots. Why make enemies when we can just stick by the country code and hunt when it is right to do so?! The odd rabbit for a young pup/ mooch is ok but why deliberately go out to catch numbers plus disrupt shoots bird programmes?! FFs we don't all want to be stamped as idiots who have respect for nothing!!!!! keepers dont like last seasons cock birds about the ground as they take next seasons young hen pheasants off when they are rel
  15. rocky in all fairness pal you moan about peolpe putting out of season photos up and you dont no a cock pheasant from a hen  course i know the difference but was,nt 100% sure the cock sits the eggs, regardless like i said don,t think its clever 2 post pictures ,i,m out tonite with my pup but i,ll bet your bottom doller i,ll not be posting halfgrown rabbits all over the site nothing wrong with putting pics of rabbits up. i believe theres no closed season on rabbits except for on some or all common land. its the same with hares no closed season on them being shot only a closed se
