  5. when choosing a wife marry one that can cook, because they can all do the rest
  6. look like they are going to be some lumpers. all feet and knuckle
  7. depends on how the birds are working the area. i find areas varie, about 3 summers ago we were getting a full days shooting but had to go to 2 different areas. the one spot had birds in the morning until dinner time then we moved to another spot that had birds from about 3 oclock onwards. thats the way it stayed for the summer they were only 10 miles apart.
  8. ferrets would be my guess. or he just likes plenty of air holes in his sandwhich box lol
  9. some dogs just behave different when they have the real thing in there mouth. just keep going out and trying your best with the pup. its just patience and practice and see if you can get the pup right.
  10. my old dog would just about retrieve anything you chucked out for him aslong has it was summer. he wasnt so keen in the dead of winter.
  11. We'll soon see mate. Only time will tell. Her coat is quite deceiving really, looks really short haired when she's dry if shes like her mum you will be allrite mate. i expect i might be seeing her sometime this winter.

  13. good luck with the pups rew. hopefully all works out for you.
  14. young otter perhaps? or she was bang on the money with what she saw i know otters are getting more and more common. ive seen them in the strangest of places. i was coming back from a lamping trip one night and my mate ran one over feck knows what it was doing there as i couldnt think of a good source of water for it anywhere close.
  15. if you didnt know any better you would think it was her own pup.
  16. lol. the only pic which wasnt out of focus was the one of the woman lol
  17. Best answer for a while, the man behind the dog is what makes the dog, some men have it some don't some just pretend lol great answer that mate atb AT thanks mate
  18. that looks a fare old sandwich marshman. i like a plain old cheese and pickle sandwich myself with a packet of plain crisps.
  19. a good combination of breeding is a great start. but the man behind the dog plays a major part in getting the dog where it needs to be, both physically and mentally. there are men out there who just always seem to have a good dogs. they must just have good stockmanship in being able to pick the right puppy to start with or its just luck, which i very much doubt.
  20. i give them as much as they will eat. and has much varitey of stuff as possible as i cant stand fussy fecking eaters when they are adults.
  21. they look my sort of dogs. i also like a couple of others on here would be interested to hear how they are getting on.
  22. fare play gaz you are having a spout of bad luck with your dogs. look on the bright side shes still here to run another day mate, and hopefully its a lesson learnt for her. as has allready been said she is plenty young enough to heal up just fine.
