    It's nowt about the animal and its will to live to be fair. If you aren't getting a clean kill with a headshot there is something wrong, maybe shouldn't take the shot. It doesn't take much lbs/ft at the target you're right, but just cos you can, doesn't always mean you should. 40m with a catty is a bit mad.

    I eat moorhens on the occasional time I get one. Then again I eat pretty much everything I get.

    At the minute I'm mostly using an oak natty with 25mm straight cut single TBG and hex nuts. Love it.

    If you want to make yourself a camp/jig set up then do. I just get someone to hold it for me for a minute. The jig would get used if I was making up loads of sets or if I was alone though obviously. Get yourself an A3 cutting matt and a cutter for next to nowt mate. Oh and a steel rule. Sorted.

    It's a bit of a chore at first but making em yourself means you can have exactly what you want and try out new stuff. A lot cheaper in the long run too.

    I think Liberon is mainly Tung oil, good stuff. Seen cattys finished with it.

    Almost everyone makes their own bud, I've never had any made up. Make some yourself, be cheaper. If you can tie onto the catty it's no harder tying to the pouch. If you need to buy made up just go for some with the best pouches on.

    Danish oil does not shine at all lads and gives good weatherproofing.

    Good mate I modified it after these photos were taken as it was a bit wide then it was mint to shoot.

    Cooking oil won't dry out will it? How does the poly coat stick?

    Danish oil doesn't have much of a shine to it, tru oil will buff to a nice shine. I Danish oil then poly coat. Tru oil is the best stuff though.

    Looks mint mate, it's not that it won't chuck the lighter ammo banded like that, just that you'll have more hand slap and the bands tend to wear faster. It's bet to match the bands to he ammo that's all. Ace catty all the same

    100 orders a week before christmas someone told me, dunno where they got there info from like. Like you say Longers you could knock up one of the standard multiplexes yourself easy enough for a fraction of the cost too.
