  5. Know what you're sayin Joe. They are pretty much free to me lad. I know they're worth a bit but they could go fa 50 bar fa me
  6. Whatever they are worth anyway, if anyone wants em ya can have em for a oner, you would have to pick em up,though...
  7. If they are worth 50p mate it's 150 quid I didn't have this morning. Nice one!
  8. They're about 6mm thick. The guy who give me em said, and I quote "do ya wanna take this welsh slate lad"
  9. I've got just over 300 roof slates. They're 250 x 400mm (10 x 16"). Can anyone give me a clue as to what they're worth? I've just been gifted em for doing my neighbours garden. It's took me half hour to carry em into my man cave and I know if I don't get rid quick they'll end up stayin there forever haha.
  10. I've just talked to him mate, I'm waiting on an order too. Mine is only a week or so late and I'm in no rush for it. I'd rather be kept in the loop though, as you say he seems to disappear sometimes. He's taking some of the more complex frames off the website now to be able to keep up with demand, apparently. I'm glad the guy is doin so well to be honest, can't fault him for making a real go of a business out of something like this. With hindsight I'd have asked YCH to finish and band me up one of his though be shooting it by now
  11. Yes it worked! And after only 5 posts. Nice dogs too. You win the Internet.
  12. You don't need to go all the way round mate I generally put a shallow groove front and back so it can be banded either way round if its gonna have heavy hunting bands on. If its for plinking or a tiny BB shooter you don't even need to put in grooves. Unless they are there to look good.
  13. To be honest mate if you aren't altering the shape then the Dremel won't save you much time. They still need to be sanded by hand. Ill be finishing these three alder forks when i get time at the weekend. I have a load of oak forks too drying out at minute.
  14. Be good for chucking house bricks I bet
  15. Natural alder fork, shaped and sanded finished with Danish oil. Really nice grain on it which my shit camera won't pick up. It can be banded to be held in left or right hand but I don't know who's having it yet so haven't done it. Thought I'd show it as it is. Atb
  16. Nice job mate. I've ordered some 1745 To give it a try. Im starting to really like the doubled 2040 at min but I like to give everything a go.
  17. Iv used the stuff before, you don't have to spray that on too lightly as it doesn't run easy. 2 or 3 coats usually enough.
  18. Brilliant, I love how you caught the emotion on their faces.
