  9. lamping that pup at 5 months you have to be joking mate.. he soft boned and not strong enough... you have him ruined and yapping by 9 months old.. is he your first lurcher..
  10. lads what planet are some of you on.. undershot or overshot is a fault and cant be bred out.. dont breed of the bitch or the dog with the problem.. basic genetics and stockmanship.. go and ask any good sensible vet.. i give you my vets number if you want to talk to him..

  15. if you can get calf legs and good meat.. mince it fine and put it down to pups at 3 weeks of age.. it make it easier on the bitch as well. just make sure you lift any old mince and put it down fresh every morning..plenty good milk and fresh clean water..
  16. am scottish living over here in ireland and the proper working dog scene is very strong over here.. lots of genuine dog men with good solid working lines.. not yet taken over by the show craze..

  18. common sense lads.. regular exercise good food and fresh water.. dont dig in the summer months far to warm.. breeding season.. let your sport get strong .. digging cubs or running young hares or rabbits. wheres the sport in that.. and at the end of the day be honest with yourself.. if the dogs not good enough .... cull hard dont pass on rubbish and only breed from proven stock..basic good stockmanship....

Heard that about them making good we lampers etc. Don't really care about the other stuff as I have two wheaton lurchers anyway. mr hancock is a dog breeder but he is honest and if you want a genuine collie lurcher he is the man.. you wont get a half cross if you want a three quarter.. he tells it like it is cant ask anymore.. then my friend how the pup turns out is up to you..
