  1. They can discriminate according to the way WE dress but not if you wear a burka. Not if you happen to be dark complected! This country has a sickness!
  2. Templeking if I haven't completely lost my marbles, that dog was one of two that S.R. gave Phil K. as pups. They were at least 3/4 saluki....Steve liked plenty of stay in his dogs. The one you got was just like a smooth saluki....lovely shape of a dog.
  3. K.T.'s Bill dog was Khan's brother and was a 5 / 5 in Jan dog. Pure saluki doing those numbers must be the real deal!
  4. Different Maisie Eric....joe bitch was off Delboy and Clives Maisie...Colly and I brought three pups from that litter and two salukis off John Lennon about eight years ago. He bred the saluki dog, Buster, to Joe and I think the litter was repeated when the dogs were sold down below.
  5. If the county antrim farmers get hold of a few and turn them loose on Slemish to carry out thier original purpose, the hare population will be back to what it was years ago in no time lol!
  6. Its been on the net for quite a few years and is certainly a better guide than any k.c. Standard you're likely to read in publications written for/by show oriented folk.
  7. Is it possible this is a propaganda release?
  8. Afraid to handle a dog?....Indeed I hunted for years with guy who would go purple if you asked him to hold a terrier...and forget about ferrets ha ha!
  9. We were operating in broad daylight...legally!
  10. Pal of mine and myself had this issue about five years ago....on permission, doing nothing illegal where we were. Chopper overhead followed by ground cops an hour or so later. Some tosspot member of the public more in tune with political correctness than the law had reported suspicious activity and got the instant response often lacking during real crisis! Waste of several hundred pounds at the very least!
  11. China doesn't have to fork out millions of pounds to subsidise inefficient windmills. The chinese are building coal fired power stations that can produce cheap electricity when its needed. Over here for example, Cameron's father in law makes around £1000 per day just for allowing wind turbines to be sited on his land and it's you and I who pay for these handouts through "green" subsidies added to our bills. Once again the poor pay to enrich the better off!
  12. Mine are indoors now but were always rugged up when the temps dropped while they lived out back in the past.
  13. Nothing better than a farleys rusk....and a big mug of Powers for dunking!
  14. Hope all you guys in Wales and Southern England avoid the worst of the damage over the next few days.....!
  15. Keith had a very good half cross off Tor that got an unfortunate decision against him when a judge flagged him wrong in the doubles. This was after an injury and the bitch that won his race went on to the finals of the comp.
  16. Keith was a pure gentleman....he stayed with me about 15 years ago when he brought a greyhound bitch across to be mated to a pure saluki in the west of ireland. He hunted for years with my pal Optimus and also hosted American coursing enthusiast Dutch Salmon on his British adventure. R.I.P. big lad!
  17. Exactly! We must stand strong against the propaganda that will be unleashed in direct proportion to U.K.I.P.'s success!
  18. If food banks have been discovered by the parasitic element in society then it's no wonder their use has increased. It's a function of the failure of socialism rather than of a failure of government. I.M.H.O.
  19. Thinking about politics of any shade makes me feel dirty but I did join UKIP a couple of years ago after thoroughly perusing their policies and finding them the only party with common sense and to be unafraid to enunciate politically incorrect ideas.
  20. Let's see who is really to blame for the current fuel price crisis.... http://www.rationaloptimist.com/blog/cheap-energy-or-green-energy-you-cannot-have-both.aspx
  21. When you have no particular talent it's often easier to marry someone famous to get a kick start to your career. Then you can use that stepping stone to climb the social ladder. Sad I know, but it has worked in this case!

    Films

Sorry to introduce sobriety to the thread but Phil Valentine's "An Inconsistant Truth", which eviscerates Al Gore's politicisation of the climate debate is the best film I've seen all year.
  23. Auld Prince was a great poaching dog....find a hare anywhere.....but only killed from under foot from what I saw. Excellent ferreting dog!
  24. Cruncher gone too Stevie.....? Damn we're getting old
