Well I had a glen bitch in the 70's (so more than 30 years ago) and she wouldn't have passed the big test so I would be very wary of some one trading on legend.

I don't usually read this part of the forum but I have found that gnasher16's posts invariably make sense to me so when I see a post with his name on it I can't help but open it, and I haven't been disappointed.....again!

For anyone who doubts the mechanism by which evolution works I recommend "The Greatest Show On Earth" by professor of evolutionary biology, Richard Dawkins. There's enough food for thought in that single volume to allow any open minded truth seeker to ruminate long enough to compile a counter argument based upon reason rather than dogma. (But I haven't yet seen one!) I personally tend to apply Occams Razor to theories such as this......the simplest and most straight forward explanation that hasn't been falsified is often the truth! That was limited to 50 editions I believe and sold first to members of the Irish staffordshire bull terrier club and the Northern Irish Staffordshire bull terrier club in 1975. I still have mine and I imagine anyone one else who still has their copy will also be holding onto it. I'm not sure if it has been copied like for instance, the Glass book or the Armatige book, but my original edition is staying here with me. Good luck with your hunt.

Never did and was a big regret. She snapped a ligament in a rear toe and it couldn't be repaired, although she still killed hares she came home lame after each hunt and I had her pts.

This is a pic of a bitch I brought from England about 20 years ago out of a Whisper Wishes Greyhound bitch and Deacon (Wilburs Saluki), killed all her hares in Ireland.

Her dam was bred 3/4 the same way as Dancer....(same mother and the fathers were half brothers) and sire was a son of Beast...(Drax x Peggy). Barryh11 will have to answer that but my impression is she's around 25 ins....Celt is a fair bit taller.

More like 14 years ago that I gave your dad that bitch Barryh11 and my judgement was spot on....your family gave her a great home till the end of her days. Most saluki types never get used for much else but coursing but what you and your dad have done with her offspring just proves the versatility of the type. It just needs patience and some time spent getting mucky. You'll remember that little bitch in my avitar. She spent some time down with you when you were a schoolboy and you sent her back in great order. Hope to get down Saturday with the weasels
