  1. Sorry Mick, at that time it wasn't cool to be seen taking pictures at events, and rightly so. I
  2. I won't argue with you there Hepher..... my post was purely for historical purposes. This was all a long time ago.
  3. Here's another dog from the same era....Oscar...bred from Barney....a staff English bull cross to a blue Wheaten bitch. He proved dead game too, having lost his life underground after being sold to England.
  4. Since I'm the man who bred Grip I think it appropriate that I answer the question about why would we breed this cross. At that time, nearly 30 years ago, there were very few pits available over here and as my bitch Dusty and my dog Red excelled at the job required at the time, and were bred from top performance dogs from that era, then it was not surprising that I would mate these two to try to replicate dogs which would perform the job we required. We weren't trying to improve the Wheaten or the staff.....I was trying to produce dogs which would succeed at the task asked of them at that time.
  5. I've said before Mally, that is the best looking whippet I've seen. Fair play to you
  6. Leave the queen out of it, it was socialist traitors that got us into this shit!
  7. Sure is pal, Hank jr has some great stuff out but Hank the third sounds just like his grandpa.....when he steers clear of the punk crap. No doubt you have the Three Hanks cd? I'll have the iconic, "I'll never get out of this world alive" played at my funeral. Sorry again K9delboy
  8. There was an American hunting mag 40 or 50 years ago that featured a picture of a working type Airedale in combat with a bobcat on the front cover, such was the esteem in which the fighting ability of the cat was held verses a dog that weighed around 50-60 lbs.
  9. Sorry to hyjack your thread K9delboy......but class is timeless!
  10. "then a trip up to Montgomery to see Hanks grave, AH! some folks have all the luck." You and I have a lot in common Cu Beag!
  11. was there a dash of staff in the diddycye dogs? In all the years I visited with T.L. I never saw another wheaten in his yard but Diddycye Finn, ( their spelling ) or Bruce as he was called when owned by D.G. in Northern Ireland before T.L. bought him. He was bred in Portadown out of a wheaten bitch who's name I don't know, sired by Lance....a very good working dog owned in the North. I always thought Lance was a son of Handy, (Red Hand of Ulster, certifying E.B.T. ) but have since been told he was a grandson of Handy, therefore 3/4 wheaten. That makes Finn 7/8 wheaten.
  12. Took the words right out of my mouth.....Lovely strong pups, hope you can keep us updated as they progress!
  13. are you and awl hand at this game or just another know all over there I'm just a know it all over here, son.
  14. We used to hunt around Coleraine, Limivady etc. in the 70's before we ventured south. The guys who think they know it all should stop a while and consider what was normal before they cut their milk teeth.

  16. The two Calender club comps to which I refered in my reply to Bigliks were doubled up. The rest are all single handed.
  17. Bedlingtons field trialling? Any more info please?
  18. The footage I have Bigliks, isn't the whole competition. Its on vhs tape and is a compilation Alan made up for me of a load of Dancer, Nipper, Foxy, Alwins black and tan etc. a year or two before Dancer won the Forley cup. The final run with Dancer and Boo Boo is on it and the final run between Dancer and Ink in that comp, which offers a fine insight into Alans sportsmanship,....then the rest is private single handed runs. If I can find someone local who can transfer onto dvd I'll send you a copy.
  19. When my wife manipulates the muscles in her fanny it feels just like a blow job, which is ironic cos when she manipulates the muscles in her mouth she sounds just like a c##t!

    Joke

Bill And Blanche Bill and his wife Blanche go to the state fair every year, And every year Bill would say, " Blanche, I'd like to ride in that helicopter " Blanche always replied, " I know Bill, but that helicopter ride is fifty bucks, And fifty bucks is fifty bucks! " One year Bill and Blanche went to the fair, and Bill said, " Blanche, I'm 75 years old. If I don't ride that helicopter, I might never get another chance " To this, Blanche replied, " Bill that helicopter ride is fifty bucks, and fifty bucks is fifty bucks " The pilot overheard the couple and said
  21. The recent reports of 29 deaths and hundreds of others stricken by the e.coli outbreak in Germany must concern all those who strive to grow their own veg. Does anyone else wonder why the mainstream media seems to have omitted any mention of the fact that the farm to which the outbreak has been sourced is actually an organic farm? Surely we all need to be aware of any procedures and practices which increase the risk of this lethal form of food poisoning entering the food chain. After reading this link below, I began to wonder if the leftist eco zealots in control of much of the msm co
  22. Hey Pal can you empty your inbox pls?
  23. Well done Speedie, at least you used the handsome end of the lead, lol.
  24. I certainly never heard Alan express that opinion of Dancer. Must have been an exceptional fortnight when she won both the doubles and singles on consecutive weekends.
