  1. This bitch, Willow, was a natural retriever. Without any form of training she just wanted to present me with her catches.....even through thick hedges with barbed wire fences. Only after the long runs on big land would she stand over her kills, catching her breath till I got to her.

Many's the happy time I spent in Ballyfermot in the company of my pld pals Ricky, Gary, the Lees etc. We were in the local pub there the night Lloyd Honeygan knocked out the heavily fancied Don Curry. Another weekend "Northern Doc" Halliday had his leather coat stolen from the back seat of his car and word was sent out that it HAD to be replaced that night, (we were guests you see). The coat was returned but Doc had a draughty drive home on the sunday night. :laugh:
